Not being from the area, I relied on a friend of a friend recommendation. I hired Aurora Kirbo to handle this for me. While the paperwork was eventually filed, I found that Mrs. Kirbo lacked the compassion and empathy necessary to deal with a grieving family member who has never been thru the probate process. She did not keep me updated on the process and did not return phones calls. I had to call the office repeatedly to follow up and get my appointment with the judge scheduled. At the end of my appointment with the judge which was a very emotional day for me, I stood in the hall and waited for her while she stayed in the judges chambers to discuss football. When I had a follow up question after my filing was completed, it took me 3 weeks and 3 messages to get in touch with her and this was only because on my 4th time calling she happened to answer the phone. While to my knowledge the actual legal work was done correctly (hence the generous 2 stars) I would not recommend her or hire her again.

Once you retain their attorneys, communication becomes extremely difficult. I have made multiple phone calls, sent numerous emails, and completed every requirement they requested, yet I have received very few updates about the status of my case. Most recently, I was informed that a money order I submitted was rejected. Not only was I not notified promptly, but it has taken more than two weeks to have the funds returned. The only reason this issue is being addressed now is because I repeatedly called to follow up and demand answers. Throughout this process, I have felt ignored, unsupported, and left to advocate for myself. My case has still not reached a resolution, and despite my efforts to obtain updates and assistance, I have received nothing but apologies. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I would recommend exploring other options or handling the matter independently if possible. Based on my experience, this company has failed to provide the communication, support, and representation I expected when I hired them.
