Andrew just got his black belt through Eddie Bravo, every class but the women's class is taught by him. He competes often at a high level and wins using technique he shows in class. Andrew has coached me at every tournament I have competed in and has been super present in building my game from zero experience to purple belt. The mats are cleaned well consistently. I have never gotten ringworm or staph from training here. The people here are good at making sure no-one walks barefoot off the mats and that people cut their nails. There's classes three times a day Monday - Friday for a variety of levels. The fundamentals at six has no live rolling and is easy to dip into but can be a good workout if you drill hard. The atmosphere is relaxed, unless we are doing comp specific training on Thursdays for advanced class. I've seen a lot of people lose fat training, even beginners just doing advanced. 10th planer grants pass is hands down the best jiu jitsu in the Rogue Valley.

Within five minutes of visiting this place for the first time I knew I had found what I was looking for. Not only are there several Sensei's (teachers) that train and work with students, in each class there are also a few Shihan (master teachers) that regularly guide classes and provide more instruction than you could find anywhere else. All these respectfully fall under the watchful eye of the Soke (grand master) who maintains discipline, preserves culture, and councils members and there families when needed. He is a US veteran, has actual Japanese heritage, and has been a practitioner of the style for more than half a century. He is the best bar none. He is a jewel in the community, a and treasure to the PNW. This location is the Honbu (home dojo) of the style he is the leader of. There is no better place to train within hundreds of miles, in fact, there are people who have moved from out of state to train here. I am not a student here but my children are, and I couldn't be more pleased with what my whole family has gained by being a part of this tight-knit community.

The brothers who are the instructors very knowledgeable (national champion status), patient, and caring When my son became disabled, they even did two on one individual classes with him. Now he is back in regular classes. They believe that a person should earn every belt and because of that, the students know that they have truly accomplished something when getting a new belt. There is very little instruction on basics and fundamentals, and the head instructor makes fun of white belts on his group chat. Also, the vibe there is somewhat "culty". I received an injury at my last class and after telling the instructor that I needed at least a month to heal, I was dropped from his "list" like a hot potato before my healing time had even ended. He also regularly drops the f bomb with children there. Just something to think about if you think about enrolling your child.

(Overweight people trying to find a nice way to get in shape, skinny guys trying to build strength and endurance, etc.) If you want your skills and talents to be exploited for the growth of some narcissistic cult leader's gym then this is the place for you.
