Like any other Kung Fu Tea, the drinks are solid. Nothing wrong with any of their drinks, the only issue I have with this location is the decor was very lackluster. My go to place for Milk Bubble Tea when I am back in the Brooklyn. It always taste the same no matter which Kung Fu Tea establishment you chose! It might be pricey when compare to bakery Milk Bubble Tea but it is worth it. Today seem to have a long line, but it a once in a while treat so it was worth, personally for me! Kung fu tea is usually the place I go for my boba tea, but this location is horrible. The times I've been here the service was bad. The workers have an attitude and what made me write this review was the attitude this one male worker gave me. The taro hot milk tea he made me had literally no taro flavor in it. I noticed after walking out of the store and when I walked back in to ask him kindly if it was taro because it didn't taste like taro, he was rude and said, "Yea...." That's not now customer service works. If you decide to work at a place that requires you to be nice and you can't do so, work at a different place. Every Kung Fu Tea I go to, it's always steaming hot in there and has a strong weird milky tea odor. Am I the only one or what? So far, I have tried their bubble tea 3 times. I must say, I am not a big fan of it just like Quickly's. First, they do not have strawberry green tea! Second, they do not have grass jelly! Third, their menu sucks overall. Finally, the whole upgrading cup thing is way too annoying. First (the one in Chinatown by Canal Street) - was here in the winter, so I thought they just blasted the heat. Looked at the menu on their high tech monitor, did not see much choices. Saw a lot of named drinks without listing what's in them. I ordered strawberry green tea, I was told they do not have that. ::pause:: seriously? Anyway, so I was suggested to have passion fruit green tea with tapioca. Ugh, so disappointed. It tasted like sour tea, I don't even know if that's possible. Then it left a bitter after taste. All the ice melted by the time I walked out because it was so damn hot in there. And they probably only had 5 pieces of ice in it. Tapioca tasted like regular tapioca... The tea was just awful! I had passion fruit green tea at Tkettle before and this was no way near it. NO BUENO! Second attempt (the one on 86th street in Brooklyn Bensonhurst) - this time, my friend ordered it for me as I waited nice and cool in my car lol. It's been a few months since my first journey. I wanted strawberry green tea again but with grass jelly. Of course, my friend called me to tell me they didn't have strawberry green tea or grass jelly. Like ok now, you suck. So I ordered a lychee green tea with jelly. Again, I was disappointed. It was bitter tea. Do not taste the lychee flavor. The jelly had the most taste. Oh and the ice, it melted already after a few sips. Again, NO BUENO! Third attempt (8th avenue in Brooklyn) - THANK GOD I had my strawberry green tea with grass jelly from TBarr. My friends wanted Kung Fu Tea. It's AUGUST and it was steaming HOT. They ordered the "Green Wow" drink. I honestly did not know what was in it. It looked milky with lots of toppings; tapioca, mini clear tapioca and yellow sweet beans. I took a sip and the toppings tasted really good actually. So, I was near by the area again. I figured I should give this Kung Fu a try. Of course, it was super hot in there. The cashier who just stood there taking orders and collecting money was drenched in sweat. Anyhow, I ordered a small "green wow" drink for $3.75 with EXTRA ICE! Dude, when I got it, it was a medium or large that looked like the Venti size cup at starbucks. I was like I ordered a small? She was like yea, you had a free upgrade! It would have been nice if she told me beforehand. All I wanted was a SMALL! The drink was just way too big. After my 5th sip, I couldn't drink it anymore. If only zero star is an option. I ordered a large cold coffee with little ice and no sugar. The worker responded "of course, but I have to add water if you want less ice." I laughed and couldn't believe this was happening. I don't want watered down coffee. If I did, I would've went to the Chinese bakery around the corner! It felt as if I spoke to an idiot. He had no other answer than "I have to add water. LOL....I was frustrated. So..I took my ice coffee anyways, with little ice, no sugar and NO WATER. It came 2/3 full. Now, it was all clear. My coffee was diluted as it was and my friend's taro with tapioca was bad. I refuse to go back to Kung fu tea for their coffee nor their powdered crap drinks. Wow, appalled with the horrible customer service at 8th Avenue Brooklyn location. On the celebration for their birthday, they claim to be doing a free bubble tea for new app users. But not only did they not honor it, they were rude and clueless. My father was told repeatedly he had to buy a drink in order to get one free. He showed them the $4 credit on his phone app and they kept telling him he has to buy one to get one free and the person was very impatient and told him he doesn't understand the promotion and was told to step aside. Clearly there is no communication with your stores and you need to inform your workers of the promotions and be respectful of all your customers. This is a carbon copy of the Flushing location. I was here on opening day and they were charging large drinks at medium prices. Lots of young girls behind the counter and this place is English friendly. Drinks are more unique and they have some real old drinks like melon tea (still not authentic but more on the sugary side). They got more positives than negatives and it has won me over as a fan! read more

Kung Fu Tea, a place overrated and pretty unknown to me. My friends go to Kung Fu Tea once in awhile and recommended it to me. On this day, I ordered a Milk Green Tea with bubble/boba and herbal jelly. When I receive my order, they put this white jelly (unsure what it was?). I went back to complain to them about the mixed up toppings. Then the head of the employee, I'm supposing, scolds me--WHICH IS UNBELIEVABLE! Why would you scold a customer when you made mistakes??--and tells me that I shouldn't have drank so much before telling them. Now first let's look over why I'm so unsatisfied and disappointed with my first visit to Kung Fu Tea; * mixing up the toppings and blaming the customer Someone could have an allergic reaction and possibly die because of the employees' ignorance * BLAMING THE CUSTOMER I wrote this in the previous point but I need to emphasize this. You don't have ever--no even dare to--SCOLD the customer because you put in the wrong topping. Instead of scolding, why don't you acknowledge the fact you or your coworkers messed up? Flaunting your horrible customer service will definitely bring down your ratings (via this review) When I got my correct order, I still couldn't hold my anger and thus this review is born! Call this my crack, it's so addicting. The staff is well rounded and prompt, they also speak English. I always order the Kung-Fu Milk Tea with Bubbles. It's my favorite thing, regardless of how I'm feeling or what time of day it is. The milk tea isn't too sweet and it's quite milky, which I love. The tapioca makes the flavor of the drink flow, you just can't have the tea without the tapioca. It's relatively cheap, compared to other bubble tea locations on 8th ave. And the best part? There's a skewers stand right outside! So grab yourself a bubble tea, grab a few skewers, and you can have yourself a decent lunch or snack. That's my routine, come join. read more

I can not stand this location but I am forced to come here since it's the closest Kung Fu Tea branch. The service is absolutely terrible. This place is laced with a stench that is unbearable. This place is crowded with perverted customers with snickering remarks. There is no crowd control at all in this place. I've waited on line for a while with no acknowledgment from the staff. And once the girl came to her senses, she let a guy cut in front of me when I clearly was waiting there first. His excuse was that he is double parked. So everyone who is double parked outside gets to order express? This isn't a drive thru the last time I checked. Their tea is nothing spectacular and definitely not Kung Fu Tea standards.. The drinks are worth it and in my opinion, being able to customize the sugar and milk in the drink is the best thing they can offer. I haven't been there for 3 years, so can't really say anything about service or such, but when I lived in NYC, I went there after school everyday. My friend recommended this place to me. I'm actually not a huge fan of sweetened tapioca - just not my cup of tea (that was a pun) - but I quite liked my Kung Fu Milk Bubble Tea. The staff was nice. There is some seating available, though it's VERY loud inside so you might just want to take your drink to go. The line to order is a little wonky - in theory, you're supposed to order and then move to the side and wait to pick it up... but... I don't know. I don't get what is good about Kung Fu Tea. Drinks are sweet but they are not legit. If you ask for a bubble milk tea, it's not bubble milk tea.
