I want to give like 3.7-3.8 stars, but I will round up to 4. Lots of things to say about this place. We were staying at the Henann garden resort which connects to the beach, and this restaurant is right at the outlet for the hotel. Can't beat the location, right there on white beach path - if you go at sunset, you can watch the sun go down right from the restaurant.
People on Google commented on ambiance not being the best - they are correct there is no air conditioning, and it's a very casual place with all the windows open so flies can be around, or a couple mosquitoes. The workers are friendly but they aren't the fastest (also commented on). We ate here twice during our stay and both times our food too probably about 20-25 mins if I had to hazard a guess? They are cooking it fresh right after you order it tho, so that's part of it.
Also commented on is price - this place is a bit high compared to other places on the island. The first night we went and got two fish (a grouper and a snapper) and it was like 950 php each (about $16.67 USD each). The second time we got a grouper and baked scallops, and it was 2250 php for both (about $40 USD). We also ordered the chop suey (250) which is indeed fairly bland/unexciting (home cooked food would be more exciting yes) but it's vegetables. We also got the adobong kangkong (spinach w small bits of pork), which is simple but I really like it.
Overall, our more expensive meal was almost $60 USD. That's really not that bad for fresh seafood and veg but it is WAY more than even the second highest bill for a place we ate in boracay. That, and this place ONLY accepts cash - we blew through almost half the money we brought just eating here. We actually ended up walking a few mins down the beach to an exchange place to get more php for usd because this place uses up so much cash.
Overall, if you like seafood I actually really did enjoy it - I thought the garlic butter baked scallops I had were the most delicious thing I've had so far in boracay! Otherwise the drinks and veg are available, but not super exciting. Would rec a visit if you have cash and love seafood but if you don't care for it much, I wouldn't spend the time and the money here (plus, again, it is WARM - NO air conditioning)! Side note, they have a little hand wash station in the back if you make a mess. read more
