But let me tell you, the first guy took 45 min, second guy was 75 min in and still going by the time I left. The first barber (light-skinned latino) took 45 min, worked hard and did an excellent job on an older man. Honestly, while I waited and saw him work, I wanted my cut with him. Unfortunately he left to go inside their building and was replaced by this young black haired latino. He was working on this guy who walked in with a Phil Foden cut and 75 min in, largely unchanged but with a clean trim on the sides. (There was hardly any hair on the ground ) One reason his cut was taking so long was this barber was too busy live-streaming on his phone, occasionally looking at peoples' comments. It also didn't help he was cutting at a snail's pace. It's one thing to be attentive to detail (something the first barber was good at). It's another to just go hair by hair. Bad for business, wasting peoples' time, so much that I don't feel like stopping by the actual shop. Hope the business sees this and if they do, please let me know the name of that guy. If I ever do stop by, I'd like to avoid him at all cost.

I figured, "15 minutes late, I'm not upset about it." He takes another client before me and I begin to wonder if he is running behind schedule. This client gets his hair cut, his beard trimmed and a facial treatment. Romeo didn't finish with this guy until 1135. Romeo proceeded to take ANOTHER client to which I state, "Romeo I'm here for a 1030." He goes, "I get it" and he points to another barber who wasn't done with his client yet and offers, "he'll take you next." If you're going to encourage appointments, at least adhere to your time table. He didn't apologize or seek to remedy the situation. I wasted 2 hours of my valuable time between the commute and waiting. Avoid this place.

Noteworthy is the fact that there are businesses, including a laundromat next door, another business on the other side; and UMBC students/tenants upstairs. Every business has occasional issues, but I know that those issues were dealt with and John strives to keep things clean, which includes monthly visits from a contracted exterminator that the landlord provides. If you need a good quality haircut, go in and see John, Mr. Vince or the other staff and it will be well worth the wait and you won't be disappointed.
