The whole time she was just talking about her trials and tribulations and how she was struggling for money. (I'm assuming this was her way of trying to get tips) But it was very awkward. And the haircut, which I just wanted a simple short on the sides and just a little bit longer up top, was not anywhere near what I have had in the past. There was patches that were left longer, the fade up was horrible, and there was spots where it looked like there was chunks taking out. I asked her three times to fix certain spots until I just wanted to get out of there. It was so bad of a haircut that I had to go directly to another location/company to have them fix it. (Clips and cuts) by home Depot. The stylists there don't sorry for me and only charge me half price even though I said I would pay full price just to get it fixed. I will say though that the stylist in sports clips are usually very nice and do decent work. My hang up was mainly just with this one stylist. But again it was such a bad experience and a complete waste of my money that I will not be going back to sports clips again. The two pictures that I attached are my after leaving sports clips and after I had to go to another cutlery and get it fixed.

It's not always worth it at every place, but here they do a great scalp massage. The pricing is fantastic, and they offer a Fire & Rescue discount.

Besides that, the store was clean and quiet. My appointment was 1PM - 4 PM. Only two people were working at that time--the two owners. Tbh it was the first time I saw a hairdresser do everything himself--all the preparation, cut, perming, washing, etc. The limitation of staff resulted in lack of attentiveness. During the perm, the medicine touched my face, and overall the experience was not up to the standard. I really hope that they can improve because hair coco has lots of potentials.

I would've left but she had already shampooed my hair, so here I am in the chair, sitting with a towel on my hand. My wait was so long because they kept giving priority to their Korean friends who came in (I get it, you're friends). But, I mean I been waiting for 3+ hours at this point and they didn't seem to care. I had an event to get to tonight but I'm not one to be rude like that, so I just patiently waited for another hour. 2) Finally, after 4.5 hours, it's my turn. I asked for a small trim to get rid of the split-ends and a curl style. They cut off 4 inches and gave me straight hair instead. When I told her "oh no, curly, i have an event to go to," the lady seemed annoyed and said "it is curly, what do you mean?" (Please see attached picture for what is "curly" to her). I set up my appointment online ahead of time which made it a bit easier. Doing so you have the choice of selecting who you want to service you. Being that I had never been here before I opted for whoever was available at that time. I had set my appointment for shortly after they opened and after my appointment beforehand. Showed up a few minutes early and took my time in the parking lot before going inside. Once inside I was greeted as soon as I walked in and told that I needed to give them just a minute. Once they were set up and ready to go I was called to a chair. Asked what I wanted to have done and with a few vague comments about that, we were off. They were meticulous with my ask and focused. All the while chatting me up. It was comical to hear the banter in here. They had on CNN and their commentary was better than the newscasters. Before I knew it, they were finished and I was ready to go. My beard looked a lot better than it had looked in a long time and I am grateful for the correction of this.
