Emmet Kenney, Jr., MD, blocks most avenues of communication: no email, no portal, no communication…read morebetween appointments no matter how important. If you leave a message with front desk staff (they are apparently instructed never to tell you who you are talking to unless you ask) he will blame you for expecting him or another provider to be "at your beck and call." He pushes medications on you and then won't help you if you have severe symptoms and wish to reduce or go off a med or two. He demands that you wait until the next appointment and then he doesn't address the issue, disconnecting after exactly 20 minutes, after it took that long just to review current meds & supplements and a few symptoms. Just one time during more than a decade at his practice I fell behind a bit, and only briefly, due to my poor insurance via my workplace at the time, yet I was immediately called onto the carpet where I encountered a most malicious staffer Tracey Frei, alias 'Jean' (The Doctor's minion #1 and office manager), who demanded to know what I was going to do about this money owed. I was startled at this draconian crackdown as it was not that much money nor had it ever happened before (nor since simply because I haven't run into any further misfortune of that type). I did not complain while there. I brought two concerns, the first about the behavior of a member of the front desk staff, and I took it directly to Emmet Kenney, Jr. MD, who showed no interest. The second concern I brought only recently - about eight years later - when my request for records was not fulfilled, causing me harm. I lost critical services from two providers for months due to the resulting bureaucratic delays. I told Jean that front desk staff alleged there was no record of the disappeared request (I had made the request directly on the phone with one of them). She agreed there was "no record of it, therefore dismissing it as having ever existed! She had the audacity to describe their performance in this area in superlatives. Obviously, not my experience. All patient concerns also seem to be labeled "complaints" and dismissed. Suffice it to say that every other minion on staff enforces Emmet Kenney's rules, policies, procedure, etc. These bad and unethical actions and behaviors are their choice but entirely directed by him. They are the soldiers in the field, the enforcers of The Doctor's Power. He's a micromanager and knows everything that happens. When my high blood pressure became uncontrollable and I tried to leave a message for my provider that it was an emergency, she said, "okay," and hung up! No interest in finding out if I needed an ambulance. No explanation of procedures for dealing with an emergency. Nothing. The provider never contacted me. Kenney then abandoned my case when it got complicated from all the medications and when I would not accept his demands that nothing be reviewed for 3-4 weeks after medication changes, this after 7.5 years of him insisting that appointments be a maximum of two weeks later if any medication changes were made. He changed safety rules at will for his own interests, not mine, putting my health at risk. All who work or seek "health" services there are in my opinion at extreme risk. He endangers the health of those who come to his practice seeking what they expect will be responsible health care. I would avoid this place at all costs. It's my opinion that people will be safer protecting their life and their children's lives and staying away from this awful place.
