If we could give 0 stars, we would. We have worked with many contracting and construction companies, and they are well below anything we've seen before. After a nearly 18 month repair to a flooded Crested Butte condo, we are exhausted and can't express enough how KW: -did the bare minimum to repair our unit -caused additional water and sewage damage to our dwelling while working in the unit -failed, and continued to fail to disclose their responsibility in this matter despite corroborating data and evidence from multiple sources familiar with the issue -missed in excess of 5 promised project delivery dates, appearing to have abandoned the project site until called back by angry owners. -damaged our furniture in their contracted storage -never offered to address these losses -failed to respond to most calls and written communications -when finally confronted, KW quoted the value of our losses well below the cost to replace- but did offer to mail us a check -after 3 months, have failed to ever send any payments they promised us both by phone, in writing, and at an in-person visit to their offices in Leadville. If there is ANY alternative to KW, save yourself the hassle of working with these thieves. read more

I could not recommend KW more highly. I live in Denver (far from their HQ up in Leadville), but figured I would call and see if they could help with my flooded basement since a coworker had recommended them. I called KW and Adina and her team were at my house and working within 3 hours. Every single person I interacted with was kind, hardworking and honest - Adina in particular went way above and beyond to help me figure out insurance and guide me through that chaotic week! After the emergency restoration phase, I had the pleasure of working with Keith for reconstruction. Keith drove all the way from Colorado Springs every day and delivered impressive results as he reconstructed my basement walls, bathroom, flooring and cabinets. He went above and beyond countless times, showing up early and staying late in order to accelerate timelines. Don also helped with coordination and did a great job lining up resources to make this project successful, and Travis was very helpful with getting invoicing right and ensuring that the payment process was smooth. All that said, I would highly recommend that you work with KW. I am surprised to see other people's negative reviews here, as I found every KW employee to be not only hardworking and honest, but also genuinely good people. read more

I have a victorian era home and unfortunately two sewage leaks, 13months apart. KW came to Monte Vista, staff educated me re: process and how remediation would go. Staff were polite and professional, never rushed. They had to repair areas my husband, a master carpenter built originally - my husband gave his full approval of the repair, "good as new". Staff dealt with my USAA insurance seamlessly. Highly recommend. Made a bad situation much less painful. read more

Tried to call this company for an estimate and Paul was unprofessional and unwilling to assist. When I asked him to email me the info about the estimate he told me he was too busy. When I asked for a price he told me he couldn't give one and didn't want the job since it was more work than he wanted to do. He then said it would be $100,000 minimum which he was clearly just making up. I'm not sure why he was so unprofessional and unwilling to help me, this is the first time I had spoken to him or engaged with this company. After this experience I will obviously be looking elsewhere. read more

Buyer beware! Do not hire this company as they will take your money and not complete the work.

We purchased a home in November 2015 and were informed KW restoration did the work after a fire happened inside the home. There are multiple problems with the work including a showing carpet seam in the main living area on the new carpet, lack of finishing the edge of floors in the bathroom, which prompted water to leak into the ceiling of the garage, leaking gutters and yellow discoloration coming through the new paint they used. We've been attempting to get service from them since November with no luck. Around December we did have someone come to the house and say they would get back to us, but that never happened. They told us they were too busy to do anything about it in December. We waited trying to be understanding. In May 2016, we attempted to get in contact with them again as we hadn't heard anything. Now our calls are not even being returned. We were told the work done on our home would have a one year guarantee. This doesn't do us much good since we can't get our phone calls returned. I think we have tried to call about six or seven times since November 2015. It is now June 2016 and nothing has been resolved. I would not ask them to do any work for us in the future. It probably would be an unlikely response for that either. In the off chance, I was able to secure some work from them, I believe the quality would be poor and I'd be stuck with it.
