Well I'd love to leave a review about the quality of the dental service, but I couldn't even get into the door.
I made my first phone call on November 1st because I had EXTREME tooth pain (which was already happening for over a week at that point) but they couldn't get me into an appointment for well over a week, & the day that they did have an appointment for, I was scheduled to work. I went ahead and put myself down for it since the wait time was already so long, I wanted to secure my opportunity & attempt to get off of work and just reschedule my dentist appointment if I couldn't get off. They told me they would call me if somebody called and cancelled an earlier date appointment (that I was actually scheduled off of work for.) Well, they did call. But by the time that I called back (3-4 hours later) the appointment was already filled up. Knowing that I had extreme tooth pain, why couldn't they fill my name in for that appointment to reserve it, and wait just a little while to give me the chance to call them back? Don't they have some sort of priority list? (People who are experiencing tooth pain) Not everybody can answer phone calls immediately.
Well, I had to call and reschedule a few days ahead of my appointment because I was unable to get off of work. & every single day that I happened to have off of work, the dentist office was closed. So I had to shoot for the closest appointment again (which was almost 2 weeks out) & attempt to get off of work. Again, they said they would call me if an earlier appointment opened up. Again, they did. And AGAIN, the appointment was filled by the time that I got the opportunity to call back. (2-3 hours later) I ended up having to reschedule again.
Fast forward to mid December, I was finally able to get an appointment on 12/11 at 8:30AM and it was my day off of work. Well, the huge snow storm came. When I woke up on 12/10 I had a message saying "Our office will be opening late tomorrow (12/11) due to the weather, I can move your appointment to 2PM on 12/11, or would rather reschedule for a difference day. Give us a call back."
Well guess what? When I called back (2 hours later), THE.APPOINTMENT.WAS.FILLED.
So I FINALLY had a scheduled appointment on my day off of work for 8:30AM on 12/11, but because they decided to open late due to the snow storm, I lost my appointment because they didn't have the decency to just go ahead and put me down for the later 2PM appointment. They knew I had been trying to get an appointment since November 1st with extreme tooth pain, but they obviously didn't care enough to try and work with me.
But that's not even the best part. During that same phone call, I went ahead & scheduled my appointment for 12/17. The appointment fell through again because I had to work. Because of the holidays approaching, I decided not to make another appointment at that time.
So I called yesterday to pick a date far enough out (For late January, early February) so I could request the day off BEFORE my work schedule got released to assure the day off... & I was told that they will not schedule me for another appointment because I rescheduled too many times so I'm now "released." For 1, I did NOT even get a warning at all that such a thing would happen. I would have stopped attempting to make it into my appointment on a day I was scheduled for work if I would've known. And 2, they knew I had extreme tooth pain and they also knew my work schedule was tight, but they would not work with me. Every other place of business I've ever been to have all been very kind, understanding and worked with me the best that they could.
Why would rescheduling be a problem in the first place? I always called a few days before my scheduled appointment to reschedule, so I'm sure they were able to fill the appointment slot with somebody else. It's not like they lost out on any business.
Maybe they should consider being more understanding, start working with their customers more, & implement some sort of priority list when appointments get cancelled. (They should think about people who are in pain first, THEN people who just need a basic cleaning/check up/whatever of the sort)
I know you're probably wondering why I didn't just find somewhere else to go, especially if I had extreme tooth pain. My tooth pain was very extreme until late November, after that, it finally got to a point where it was manageable with ibuprofen & acetaminophen. (Which I'm still currently taking to manage)
I wanted to go to this place because I read that they do surgical procedures as well. Which no other place around this area does both. (That I know of) So if I did end up needing that type of work done, I wouldn't have to be referred anywhere else, which is convenient.
If I would have known I was going to end up going elsewhere anyways, I would have made an appointment somewhere else 3 MONTHS AGO.
This dentist office was a huge waste of my time and effort. read more
