On 08/04/2025, I brought my vehicle in due to a coolant leak. I was informed the issue was a leak in the coolant housing, which your team replaced. I was told this had resolved the problem. However, shortly after collecting the vehicle, I discovered it was still leaking coolant. I returned the car, only to be told the leak was now coming from a different location. This is highly concerning, as it indicates the system was not thoroughly checked after the initial repair. More specifically, I was informed by the gentleman on the front desk that no pressure test was carried out following the repair, as it was considered "unnecessary" and might "put unneeded stress on the system." I want to make clear that I have recorded this conversation. This statement directly contradicts accepted industry standards -- pressure testing is a standard and essential step in verifying the integrity of a cooling system after a repair. To make matters worse, I followed up with a written complaint via email, which has received no reply. When I returned in person to have the vehicle checked again and asked, politely but directly, how such an oversight could have occurred, the man on the front desk asked me to leave the premises and wait outside. I want to stress that I was not aggressive, only disappointed and seeking answers. I found this response both unjustified and unprofessional.

They repair punctures if possible or will replace the tyre but not try and sell you the top of the range. The staff are very helpful and will advise you what is the best deal for you. They give you all the options but don't try and pressure you unlike some places I have visited.

They charge a premium price for budget tyres. Going direct to Kwik Fit would have been cheaper for…read morethe brand of tyres they fitted. Although they themselves had Kwik Fit posters, the price was higher than quoted on the KF website. I was directed to drive my car in, then once I got out, they jacked it up and had the wheels off before they had even given me the quote! Once they had the wheels off I felt pressured and then couldn't decline the service. If thats not pressurising the customer what is? The staff were pretty miserable and generally not customer friendly, ignoring you until they had to at last acknowledge your presence. The printer was not working, so they advised the receipt would follow in the post. They sent the recipt in an A4 envelope with not enough postage on (a single stamp). So I had to go to the Royal Mail office and pay the amount that had been underpaid, plus an admin fee to Royal Mail! Thanks a lot, Chessington Tyres. Chessington Tyres, a truly terrible and dire service. Never, ever again!! You have been warned.
