This location was smaller, though I enjoyed it it was busy I felt that what was featured here was pretty small and minimal. They had some deals going on but a lot of their beverages and snacks for a bit of a price for me. They had a hot food bar which is pretty neat which has plenty of great options and great vegan selections as well for those that are particular. Staff here was friendly and kind throughout my visit. The plaza that the grocery store is placed in Can be a bit of a challenge to find parking at times. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with my visit though I wouldn't mind coming back for a casual visit.

This short guy with a man-bun had an extremely poor attitude and didn't even offer to call someone else over. He told me to go to the self checkout. Well, there wasn't anyone there. I waited a while and no one showed up. I had to get the attention of another cashier. He called someone but they were unhelpful, too. If the first guy hadn't been so gruff with me I might have been more patient. I gave up and just bought 4 7-UPs. As I was leaving, a woman showed up and asked if I had a question! This is a poorly run store with obviously not enough staff. I will never go there again.

It's the worst. It's remarkably refreshing whenever I make the trek out to a different Cub to see how nice they can be. Small store, the same 10 employees, doing the same things every day with the same stock, and the same lack of quality control. Produce is spotty at best, if you don't check it like a hawk, it won't just be iffy, it will be fully rotten. The meat, I don't even bother. "Manager's Special" doesn't mean expiring soon, it means it expired last week. The Deli, they must make sandwiches and hold them in the back for 36 hours because I've never seen one that wasn't at least 36 hours old (And spoiler alert, they only really keep for 18 hours) The Bakery is fine but the selection is ALWAYS the same now.. They haven't even bothered to make pies for months. It's like the management team or owner can't be bothered. They must just cash checks with no oversight because nothing ever changes at this place. The one thing that not surprisingly does change? The prices skyrocketing. And I don't just mean the packaged goods that have been inflated beyond believe everywhere in the state, I mean their Deli and Bakery prices now rival Lunds and Byerly's.. Which I don't have to tell anyone is beyond laughable. Cub is a great store.. Chanhassen Cub is a train wreck. Get it together. Let's get some variety going so I don't feel like I'm in Groundhog Day going to this place once a week. Bottom line - If you're shopping for popular box goods that are available anywhere, this cub is as good as any. But if you're going for their Deli, Bakery or Produce, be prepared to be horribly disappointed far more often than should be possible. I actually saw a moldy block of pre-packaged Crystal Farm's Pepper Jack cheese front and center at this place. I had NEVER seen anything like that in my life, but leave it to Chan Cub to make you have to start checking standard boxed/packaged goods. Literally NO quality control at this place and the employees are too often very comfortable with being overly familiar and unprofessional which is a huge indicator of no managerial or ownership oversight. This Cub foods has one area that is better than any other store in the entire area. The meat department has absolutely the best meats in any of the stores that I've visited this past year. I live close to several high-end grocery stores, but will always make the trek out to Sherwood when it's time to grill. We have noticed that their produce department is well-stocked and has more variety than many other store and carry a lot of Minnesota grown items. It's quite a bit further to drive but it's totally worth it for us.

If you are looking to keep your total grocery bill down getting all your items here won't do it. I think they make up for the discounts they give by having every other item a dollar more. When getting 15+ items it makes a difference. I say stick to the major discounts and go elsewhere for the rest. They have a good selection of items. They have some items like fresh pasta I can't find at any other grocery store in Chaska. They usually are the first ones to have my cinnamon ice cream in stock around the Thanksgiving Holiday time. They typically have a self-serve register out but there is not usually a line. When using the cashier for check out they are always friendly and speedy. I typically gravitate towards the self check out because I am only grabbing a couple of items.
