Alright this is gonna be a doozy! I'm gonna give you fair warning.. I do not come here for the ambiance, nor do I come here for the customer service and guidance. I come here because I have learned how to get in and out quickly and because I have saved an unbelievable amount buy buying their product. If I was going to rate on customer service or inventory selection alone it would prob be a but the prices really make an impact and I would cry if they closed. TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS My grocery trip starts by bringing in my reusable bag. I choose a large bag that is insolated to keep the temp secure on hot summer days. I have a household of 2 so I do not need a cart. If you want to use a cart keep quarters in your vehicle. You will need a quarter to get your cart released from the cart corral but you will get it back once you return it. I don't like dealing with that I'd rather just carry my groceries and that prevents me from overbuying. PRODUCE The produce is the same grade as target and cub even though it's consistently half the price. Take note of the Aldi savers end caps the items that are in season and discounted even further are showcased there. They typically don't have the largest inventory but they focus on what's in season. You must check everything for freshness but I would do that anywhere. SNACKS Their almonds peanuts walnuts prices are unmatched again consistently half off. They have a few name brands of snacks scattered but their copycat brands are sometimes better than the originals. There are not many choices but it makes choice-making simple and easy. Who needs 18 types of mayo? There is typically 2 choices for everything. CHEESES Besides my string cheese that I'm super picky about this is the only category that I dont find that special. Average prices. MEATS They do have some very healthy options for beef at extremely good prices. DAIRY So many people love their coffee creamers. My favorite spot for my almond milk and eggs. FROZEN Salmon, tilapia, and shrimp are all at incredible prices I feel like I've robbed the place. I cannot find that anywhere else for their prices. I buy the frozen fruit for sure and their frozen pizzas are great and major brands are discounted by half. INVENTORY Do not expect anything you buy to be there every single time. They get what they get and that's it. And if you don't like that stay far far away from the also finds. They almost change out completely every week. You can check the app to see what they have coming soon. CHECKING OUT They go FAST! They have no patience for you. You will feel pressured to keep up without them saying a word. That is normal. I just got as efficiently as I can and I'm not gonna stress about it. They would like you to unload and then put your cart at the end and they would toss the items into the cart. Then your expected to take your cart and bag your items on the counter against the wall. I screw up the whole system because I don't grab the cart but they adjust by finding a cart close by and either as they fill the cart or if I am quick I can throw the bag in the cart and tell them to toss it in. Most the time they do not wait for that and it's fine. But man am I out 3x faster if I can pull that off. I'm pretty sure they are instructed to not put anything in bags because people get particular about their bagging. I'll fix it later if I care. If you can bring a partner to help bag as you pay that's the trick! They used to have some cranky cashiers but as of the last 4+ months they have been gone and are much nicer.

We had ordered a tasting kit which had a large variety of food and drinks to try! We had the Cider Tasting Kit with additional add ons, such as the, Apple Tasting Kit, Heirloom Apple Tasting Kit, Odenthal's Jalapeno and Cheddar Beef Sticks, Shepherd's Way Friesago Cheese, Sweetland Orchard Cider Donuts, Sweatband Orchard Farm Bread Picnic Loaf, and the Vikings and Goddesses Apple Carmel Hand Pie's. Kits are available if you place your order at lease 12 hours in advance. If you do not order a kit, there are items available for purchase as well. You are free to roam to roam the orchard and enjoy all there is to offer. The setting was just the perfect spot for fall, with colored trees around and rolling hills. We brought our kit our to the orchard and had a picnic. We brought a quilt to sit on (there are some picnic tables available, but it is probably wise to bring a quilt to lay down to sit on just in case there are no tables available). Everything was incredibly delicious and I am planning to get back there again soon! It is dog friendly! I love when places allow dogs, it is but probably best to bring your dog only if it will not disrupt other guests or the animals that are on site (chickens, pigs, etc.).

The shop is interesting and serves up a lot of variety of apple products. While you browse, get a glass of wine and walk around. Definitely get out to the grounds surrounding the barn. The winery next door always have fun events going like a live band outdoor and a food truck. There is a petting zoo outside, a few interesting sculptures worth checking out and a caricaturist. We strolled through the apple orchard down the street from the barn. If you are too lazy to walk, they operate tractors also. You can either buy your apples at the store or choose the pick your own apple bag option. There were Haralsons, Fireside and Honeycrisp apples when I was there. It's so much fun to see those red apples hanging in the trees while enjoying the cool breeze and crisp air. The rolling hills in this area is breath taking. It's really a beautiful part of MN that's worth checking out.

Not only is it an orchard but also a vineyard. I'm not as familiar with Minnesotan wines so I was a little skeptical but honestly I was very impressed by the crisp and woody taste of one of their reds. Not only that but they had a live band playing fun music. They allowed doggos so it was fun to walk around and see the beautiful fall colors with the pooch. Plus it was very family friendly so there were also some cute kids enjoying hay rides! They had what appeared to be a vendor selling unique pizzas but also the best soft pretzels I've ever had in my life with REAL gouda cheese for dipping. Great spot to check out in the fall, great for group gatherings/parties, would come back next year (although may call about pumpkins beforehand).

Dang...we had an underwhelming second experience here :/…read more My first visit in 2021 was a 5-star experience (see past review!), and after our trip to Japan, I was soooo excited to bring my family here. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the same top tier experience. We booked the chef's table which was the highlight! We enjoyed getting to watch the chef and team prepare the fare, and chef even spoke to us at one point. Definitely a high level of skill there. We got the yakitori to start: good, but nothing crazy, and the price point for the small skewers is so high. The waygu was a bit tough. After time in Japan, we were JAZZED to get the okonomiyaki pizza, but it was...very sad. Hardly any toppings, and I don't even think it had cabbage on it? No cabbage on an okonomiyaki pizza...? We got a pasta to share as well, and it had great flavors but the portion was oh-so-tiny. We got the special morel pizza to share, and the price was STEEP (I think around $50) due to the rarity of morels, but it was the best thing we had! The gluten-free pizza crust felt small and wasn't overly substantial, so we didn't find much of the meal filling. This meal was quite pricey, and this second experience was more lackluster than our first.

The wood-fire pizza concept is adorable and overall a fun experience as it's outside, served from a food truck, contains live music and lots to observe amongst the large area. The pizza once ordered and delivered is extremely fresh with the dough being rolled on-site. My friend and I split the pesto pizza and an appetizer of the caprese salad. The service was excellent once we got through the giant line. There are also a variety of tables and chairs to leverage. The negatives are that the pizza is ordered in one giant line which for us took 1-hour and the tables are hard to snag unless you do in advance. A beeper is provided once ordered and you walk up to claim when the buzzer goes off. I would return just to check out the other areas of the space as the land is gigantic. Contrary, I would probably pass on the pizza experience as once is enough. Parking was easy too which is always a worry for me with a big unpaved lot with lots of signs directing to the right area. Note: there is no admission fee. Enjoy!
