I was in a car accident in July 2020. I went to Dr. Thomas for 6 months, he helped me get better. I finished my treatment January 2021. I've been contacting him for almost 5 months now because he won't send his notes to me or my insurance so I can close my claim. Either he says "you can get treatment for up to 2 years to charge your PIP", or the company that handles that paperwork for him is backed up. To me it sounds like he just wants me to continue to come back to get treatment so he can make more money. It's very inconvenient and unprofessional. I am a dental hygienist by trade. As a clinician, I make many repetitive movements and postures, which turned into a long accumulated, nagging back pain. Recently, I was involved in an auto accident, injured my neck and back pretty bad. So I finally decided to go see a chiropractor. I was referred to Dr. Donavan Thomas by a colleague at my dental office. Though it was a 30 minute drive away from where I reside, he came with such high regards that I decided to make the trip and give him a try. I can get quite picky when it comes to who touches and works on my body. With that said, I could not have made a better decision and so very glad and thankful that I was able to discover Dr. Thomas and his practice. Greatly noticeable relief was experienced, just after my very first visit!! Now imagine that! After many nights of trouble finding an acceptably comfortable position and falling asleep due to discomfort & pain, I was able to sleep like a baby that night for the first time in a long time. I think I teared up... Dr. Thomas is a highly skilled practitioner and very knowledgeable. Definitely knows what he is doing. If you ever need a chiropractic adjustment/healing, HE, is your go-to guy. I have a 3 chiropractors 1 block from my house, yet I make the drive just to be seen by Dr. Thomas. That must tell you a lot!! His staff is ultra friendly and accommodating, and the facility is very clean and functional. Feels like going to see a close friend or family every time I visit this office now and feel right at home. To summarize, stop wasting your time and get scheduled to be seen by Dr. Donovan Thomas if you need relief. You will be so glad that you did. I have been receiving quality care from Dr. Donovan Thomas for at least 15 years. Both of my children also received chiropractic care as they were growing up, and I was always pleased with the quality of care, the attention to the problem, and the results we acquired. I initially began seeing Dr. Thomas when I had some scary issues with my back locking up. It has made all the difference for me, as I now am able to live pain free, with only maintenance every couple of months. I later was in a car accident, and there was damage done to my neck and shoulder. I chose not to take heavy pain medicine, but instead went to see Dr. Thomas regularly for several months. The pain is completely gone, and has not returned! I've watched Dr. Thomas adjust my teenagers jaws and even rib cages! I also trust him to guide me in areas of health and wellness; an example being how to deal with high blood pressure. I always thought that Chiropractors lacked credibility and were just a hokey way of sneaking in the back door of medicine. Unfortunately, it took a car accident and a referral from my attorney to visit one. Dr. Donovan Thomas has changed my mind. I went in for my first appointment a skeptic but he took plenty of time to listen, explained general anatomy to me (he even had full-color pictures, I am a VISUAL person) and how the human body and mind will react to sudden impact, even so subtle that one doesn't realize the effects immediately or even at all. He asked TONS of questions about MY experience and asked me for my opinion as to which treatment plan I was most comfortable with! Dr. Thomas is in this field of medicine because he is passionate about helping people. He has never been pushy, intimidating or condescending. I absolutely HATE condescending and "it's not something you would understand," is not an answer to any question one asks of thier medical professional. I lucked out. I have had alergies for years, and finding relief from them has been a fortunate side effect of my treatments. I didnt feel silly asking him if that was possible and he responded professionally and patiently. I have learned a lot about how my body and mind functions and I am grateful for the recovery I have already experienced with my injuries as a result of the accident. I went to Dr. Thomas by recommendation and I'm really glad I did. I was helping my friend change her tire and I hurt my back. I wasn't quite sure what happened but it started to give me a sharp pain in my lower back and standing up became a very difficult thing to do. I decided to see a physical therapist out in Wimberley. After leaving the sharp pain was lessened but it was still uncomfortable. I stretched and tried to eat my exercises but my back was still such a bother. I train MMA and used to lift heavy weights. The pain in my back was such a problem that I noticed a huge difference in my athletic training. I had to leave practice early and I stopped lifting weights for my back altogether. Good bye deadlifts and squats ),: No amount of stretching helped and it was driving me crazy. Exercise is my outlet. So after 6 months I finally decided to go to Dr. Thomas. (I don't know why I took so long) After 2 weeks and two sessions, that took less than half an hour, my back is so much better. I went back another time and it's back to normal. I couldn't believe it took that little amount of time to help something I'd been suffering from for so long!
