Robert and Dawn are extremely nice and responsive. Things I like about them: 1. They are very knowledgeable about the local market, the area, school districts and the rent market. Any houses I ask them about, they can give me an accurate rent estimate and cashflow analysis. In addition, they have their own investment properties so they are familiar with the rental market. The first house I bought has no issues with being rented out and I am extremely pleased with that. 2. As buyer agents, they are extremely patient and never push you into any decisions. Before I purchased the first property, I came to Bakersfield twice to see more than 10 houses and I didn't like any of them. I also put in offers for a few houses. It took me a while before I decided on the first investment property and I am happy that I wasn't pushed into the purchase decision at all. Robert and Dawn gave me enough time to decide and if I don't like it, OK fine, move onto the next prospective listing. 3. They always try their best to help me get the best price possible. During the purchase process of my second investment property, there were several back and forth with the seller and Dawn was able to help me get $2000 credit after we read the house inspection report. 4. We had a house that was a rental property for 20+ years that we decided to sell in mid-2024…read more Shortly after the renters moved out in early September vandals broke in, opened water valves inside and flooded the interior of the house. After immediate damage control was completed, we enlisted Marvin as our sales agent and construction manger. We live out of town, so we had to make the decision to hand it all over to Marvin to deal with. We had a couple of references for Marvin, but had not worked with him before so it took quite a bit of trust to give it all to him. The outcome exceeded all of our expectations, and it would be hard to say how impressed we were with everything he managed. He had a very talented team of contractors that did the work to clean up the exterior, repair flood damage inside and update the interior. Along the way, Marvin selected paint, flooring, and all the extra hardware needed. After starting repairs in October, work was completed in December, and it almost looked as if the home was new. He addressed all the issues with the home, listed it at a price virtually the same as we originally thought, and managed to complete the sale before the end of the year. His communication was excellent, always responding quickly to e-mails or texts, was always willing to take time to talk things through over the phone and ended up doing exactly what he said he was going to do.
