We really enjoyed working with Andy and his team at Rockview Landscaping. We had a very large…read moreproject planned for our backyard. A complete remodel with 2 retaining walls, new irrigation, sod, zero-scaping, a flagstone patio, hot tub, rebuilt deck, pergola, kitchenette, bar top, and electrical. Andy did an excellent job managing the project, paying attention to detail, and staying as close to schedule as possible. He gave us sufficient time after the job was complete to test the final product, make fixes, etc., before taking full payment. He went above and beyond to make sure to stay within budget and give us a beautiful final product. Before going with Andy we got quotes from 2 other landscapers. Rockview Landscaping's quote was in the middle. We didn't go with the cheapest option because Andy felt more trustworthy and willing to stay close to our vision. Additionally, the cheapest quote came from a larger national landscaping firm. It felt impersonal. We wanted to help a local business instead. The pictures speak for themselves. We included some before pictures as well so you can see how awful our backyard used to be, and how complete the remodel is. The slope in our backyard was very steep, making the lawn space completely unusable. The deck was rotting and painted over with an ugly green color. We cannot believe how much flat lawn space we have now, and the patio, hot tub, deck layout is beautiful and functional.

After being a no show I get an email saying they didn't make it out, which happens. But instead of coming out the next day, they come out three days later. When I get home later that day I see some work has been done. Large patches of grass were missed all over, what was cut is very uneaven, there is trash laying around in my yardbthay was hit by a lawnmower but just left there, leaves and branches are still everywhere, and when I checked my yard cameras I see leaves we're just blown off into my neighbors yards, for which I am responsible for and have to make appologies for and clean up. So when I contacted The Green Dude about a $100 invoice for this mess, this was the response: "You are right it was not our best work and I apologize if the leaves got blown on the neighbor's lawn. Please take a $20 discount on this invoice." No offer to come out and fix it, the mess is still there and I am still being charged $80, plus need to go fix it myself, along with my neighbor's yards, or spend even more money to have someone come do it. I am very sorry, but I cannot recommend The Green Dude after this. You are better off finding a kid that can use $20 and hire them for this kind of results.

I used the Yelp Project feature to find this company to fix my broken/rotting almost 12 year old…read morefence gate and 16 feet of backyard fence railing. Bryan promptly responded with an estimate for a gate replacement with and without posts, which I appreciated so I could make a quick decision on how to proceed with the 5+ responses I received. Bryan came out in person and reconfirmed the rates which were competitive with other bids I had received. The timing worked to refer him to a neighbor who also needed a new gate so he was able to do both of our jobs during the same time. I appreciated the fact he could replace the backyard fence rails and re-use the pickets for eco and cost reasons. He educated me on the pros/cons of using pressure treated lumber for the back of the gate and because I chose the pressure treated lumber, he will come back in a few months to stain it, the whole gate, and the 1.5 pickets that needed to be replaced. He oversaw the work directly. He and his helper finished the initial job in about 2.5 days, ahead of the bad weather. Bryan was responsive and easy to communicate with via text. He sent a proposal via an online app that was easy to review and sign. He accepts Venmo and credit cards, but there is a % charge for using credit cards.

We absolutely love it! The crew were super polite and professional folks working through extreme heat over two days (super quick imo). They did a cool underground drainage features with our existing gutters that I'm excited to see workout when it rains next. They truly did a wonderful job and picked up after themselves and even hauled some leftover rotten decking we had for us. Super appreciated and can't wait to reach out to PRT in the future to help us with refreshing our flower beds. They do have a bit a wait but you receive quality results it's definitely worth it.

On the way home one month or so back, there was a PRT crew working in the neighborhood and it motivated me to reach out again. They quickly replied through Yelp once I sent them a message and the estimator was here in a couple of days for an estimate and to provide guidance. He was very helpful in making the decisions we choose. We pretty much revamped our entire landscape. New Sod, removal of old sod and installation of zero scape/natural flat stones/gravel. Replanted all the beds, reworked sprinkler system and a massive trim out of existing shrubs and the sort. Not inexpensive, however they were still less expensive then another service, who suggested such things as a French drain, which really didn't make sense and came in a couple grand higher. The crew were numerous and were on time, courteous and knocked out the project in only a few days. One slight slip was the sod was not available on the last day, so we skipped a day and had the job completed the day after. It still was in the time frame they informed us on to begin with and let us know the day before the sod was to be installed. The result of their hard work will be truly noticed when the new plantings take hold. We have been fortunate with having several days of rain and cool weather. A couple of weeks in the sod has taken hold and none of the plantings have died and are all perking up from the transplanting experience. We are very happy with the results and the ease of working with PRT from start to finish.

Since we moved here, we had hired multiple people to mow the lawn, but the weeds were out of control and we were having pest issues. From the start, Rod has been extremely helpful in diagnosing the problems with our lawn and following through with the treatments. Great communication, so many other lawn mowers we've had in the past have basically ghosted us. With Rod and his team, we are not only knowing when the lawn will be mowed but he is also keeping track of the weeds, pests, and fungi. Our weeds are not yet gone, but it seems like the pests are, based on the way the grass is growing in. Rod continues to help spray the weeds and keep an eye on them as he comes for our biweekly mowing. The lawn is looking healthier than when we moved in!
