I had used Alliance Overhead Door in the past and they were the first call I made. The owner, Chris, took my call on a Sunday around 11am and asked me a few questions to diagnose the issue. It was likely an internal spring that had likely broken and needed replacement. I was afraid there would be an extra charge for a Sunday repair, but Chris so nope. So, I decided to move forward with getting the issue handled. Chris needed to address a current customer and then could be at my place around 1pm. As he was on his way, he texted me with an ETA, which was nice. Once at my place, he confirmed the issue and recommended at Torsion Spring Conversion. He confirmed the price, which was very reasonable, and he got right to work. Within an hour the old broken spring shaft was replaced with the new torsion spring rated for 25,000 cycles. Not only did he fix the issue, he also took the time to inspect the door and lubed the wheels and hinges before leaving. Now I am back in business with a working garage door. Would highly recommend not going with Anytime Garage Door. My suspension system gave out about 3…read moremonths ago, and we called them to install a spring system. That overall went okay, including them upselling a wheel upgrade to bearings I believe. Total all in ~$1400. About 3 weeks later, our garage door started to squeak extremely loud. So, we called AGD to come back out to take a look. The tech essentially told us, it's on the hinge design of the garage door and there's nothing we can do other than grease the hinges more, replace the door, and/or upgrade to a new motor. "Bad door/hinge design" is what I was told in a newer build home. So then, I did the maintenance myself and the garage door barely makes any squeaks & is back to normal. I will not be going with AGD in the future and highly recommend you do the same. The tech was dishonest at best & deceptive at worst.
