I loved the holes that had contraptions to bring your golf ball up to a higher level. And the final hole ball-return had me staring in awe like a little kid. I would love to go back to try the other course before our trip ends. Excellent fun and highly recommended. Staff were very nice to deal with.

We golfed the back nine and enjoyed our round of golf as the fairways are nicely sodded and picturesque and the greens were stellar, but no kangaroos. When we came into the clubhouse for our post-round beers, Glenn (the course manager) took us back out to the course and pointed out a herd of 'roos. The man went above and beyond and made our day. Go golf this fun legit 18 hole golf course and say hi to one of the nicest Aussies and that is saying something.

The greens were superb (Mike Clayton said a few weeks ago that they were the best he'd played anywhere all year) and the fairways in great condition, particularly considering they've had a wet winter. Visitors can play on Saturdays before 9.30 am or after 3.00 pm. Otherwise, visitors can get on pretty much any time. Pull buggies are available at $3.00 each, although the bar staff refused to take any money for them from our group. $4 stubbies and a comfortable clubhouse will top off a great end to the round.

Located roughly half an hour from Melbourne's eastern suburbs, Warburton is such a truly beautiful golf course that my long-suffering boyfriend had to make me leave my camera in the car lest I spend the whole time taking pictures and holding the other golfers up. While Warburton is an 18 hole course, you can opt for a round of 9 holes instead and non-members are very welcome to play. Fees are $21 per person for 9 holes and hire clubs $10 and staff are hugely accommodating of novices. Alongside the breathtaking green there's a club house with a bar, food menu, televisions, pool tables and lots of comfy seating; and far from feeling like a fusty old sports club, it's actually quite the place for an afternoon bevy after a round. Scandal be damned, Warburton could make even the most sports phobic gal fall in love with golf.

For starters it is set on a stunningly beautiful hillside with a trickling river running through. Ok it is quite steep so be prepared to hire a golf cart or do some decent exercise. But it is worth it. When you do get to the top of the hill at about the 4th and 6th holes you will have two of the best T offs you have ever had the pleasure of driving from. It is a breeze to hit 300+ metres down the large slope and boy does it make all of the effort of walking up there float away into history ,as you smash the ball from the top of the mountain (ahem I mean hill). The course is fantastic. Always in immaculate condition and the greens must rate amongst the nations very best. Beautiful bunkering and great design in that every hole presents s different challenge. Great clubhouse and facilities backed up by courteous and knowledgable staff. Highly recommend.

I came here once with my family, and really enjoyed it. I don't pretend to be a golf expert, but I thought the course was quite good, and easy enough to walk around. There is also BBQ areas, a kiosk, and plenty of seating so you can really make a family day of it. It does tend to get pretty busy on the weekends, especially over the summer months.
