We went to see Dr. Caplan as a second opinion and his opinion became our only and best opinion. Dr. Caplan used the most up to date technology to determine when we would finally need braces and showed us what he was basing his opinion on. A few years later we became a regular with this practice when we finally put the braces on. We began with a palate expander and a couple of years later, we graduated to the retainer. I can't begin to tell you how many times we went back because my daughter broke the rules and ate something she shouldn't have, thus causing her brackets to break. They were very kind to my child when the braces were put on, explained how they would put them on, how she would care for her teeth while having the braces. The front office is great - very responsive and polite women man the desk and each interaction was easy. I had a specific concern about my child's teeth before the braces went on . Dr. Hummert felt it was a non-issue but suggested mid-way through the treatment we visit an oral surgeon to get a 2nd opinion. This oral surgeon confirmed Dr. Hummmerts opinion. I have brought my other children to see her for her opinion on how to treat a breathing issue. The hygienist, Spencer, seemed inexperienced--water was spraying everywhere, and everything moved at a snail's pace. The equipment was outdated; the x-ray machine looked like it belonged in a museum. What was most frustrating was that instead of using the time to finish the job, Spencer spent 15 minutes explaining why he couldn't complete the cleaning. To top it off, you won't even see the actual dentist unless Spencer can't handle something, and when he tries to explain things, it's confusing and unclear. Overall, a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. Front desk unprofessional, play phones, and won't check your insurance properly at all. Comparing my past experience in other clinics, don't come here.

We knew eventually we would need to have a veneer or crown placed on her tooth but since she is only 8 we weren't ready for that step. I expressed how my daughter puts on a strong face and pretends not to mind when classmates and friends ask her why her front tooth is yellow... Everytime I would hear this conversation it would break my heart... wondering if it would effect her self esteem and scar her emotionally and not just physically. Without even hesitating Dr Krosser told me to bring her in the following morning and he would do his best to correct the color in the least invasive way possible. Dr Krosser was telling me to bring her in on a Wednesday morning.... his office is closed on Wednesday mornings! He was willing to put his personal life aside and help mine... Of course I didn't take him up on scheduling on a deserved day off, but we did schedule at our earliest convenience. Dr Krosser not only improved the apprearancce of my daughters smile, he did it in a very comfortable environment & painless procedure. My daughter & I are very pleased with her smile!
