I told him he shouldnt go back to him but he went for his root canal and it was seriously A MISTAKE. He said it was the most painful thing he felt and hes been to many different dentists so far. The dentist gave him NO heads up even though he asked him to let him know what he was doing. I cant imagine the pain since Ive gotten a few root canals myself. Going to a dentist alone is scary enough and I cant imagine going to a place that is sarcastic and not friendly at all! totally do not recommend.

I think I have a high threshold for pain, but have had experiences where the hygienist is hurting me and had no regard for my feelings. I've had work done that I was not happy with. I've had experiences with dentists where they cancel on you short notice, but charge you when you cancel an un-confirmed appointment. I've had experiences with misrepresentation on the billing and more. I haven't had any of these bad experiences at Hawthorne Dental Associates and I've been going here for several years now. Dr. Rosenson and the staff are easily the best dentist office that I've dealt with. They are always very professional, accommodating and courteous. I appreciate that they always do their best to schedule me as soon as possible. The x-rays and cleanings are always quick and painless. I especially appreciate the thoroughness and gentleness. Dr. Rosenson has always been very personable and provides good dental advice. I have not been disappointed with any of the work I have had done. I will continue to be a patient at Hawthorne Dental Associates and recommend them to anybody who is looking for a dentist in the area.

Dental arts was extremely close five minutes from my house. They put me with a dentist named Sarang Choi, D.M.D. I had such a bad experience! When the dentist checked my teeth she said "oh you have your front two teeth bonded." I never had my teeth bonded and then she did a couple of x-rays and she told me I had a cavity between my front tooth and a second tooth. What an odd spot! She said a lot of odd things and I felt very uncomfortable. I felt like I wanted to get up and walk out, but I didn't. They did not clean my teeth. It was just a check and it was free, which was a good thing cause I wouldn't have want to have paid for what they did. I went back to my regular dentist and they took a full set of x-rays and guess what no cavities.! I honestly don't know what's wrong with this dentist and I would not recommend anybody going to her. I don't think she really knows what she's doing.

I contacted Dr. Mufson late Friday night, and he was able to get me an appointment first thing Saturday morning even as a new patient! The women at the front desk were so nice and made me immediately feel a sense of calm. The office is also beautiful and immaculate. I went to this dental office (Bergen-Rockland Dental) last week when my molar tooth was starting to…read morehurt. As I walked in, I was greeted by warm and friendly staff. The place was very clean and cozy (with a fireplace in the waiting room!). Shortly after I completed a new patient form, I was promptly seen by Dr. Han. At first, I was a bit nervous but Dr. Han made me feel very comfortable. She patiently listened to and addressed my concerns, and, after thoroughly diagnosing the problems, explained them and the treatment procedures in a clear and understandable manner. Although it was my first time being seen by Dr. Han, she made me feel at ease that I felt like I had known her for a long time. As a dentist, Dr. Han was amazing. She was very competent and proficient in taking care of "pain in my molar." Overall, from start to finish, everything was great and well exceeded my expectations. I definitely would recommend this office to my friends and family.

His equipment is state of the art. He constantly goes to trainings. His technique is always up to date. Best dentist ever! Also I read the review by the unsatisfied customer. Dr Liu is often preoccupied thinking about the difficult cases he handles. His wife speaks English as a second language. I have never had a problem with his wife. Her manner is just a bit distant but I've never taken it personally. They work so hard there. The bottom line is that Dr Liu does EXCELLENT work on intricate dental procedures. He did an implant on me to correct a botched root canal I had done overseas. I will forever be grateful to him and his staff for saving my teeth. Also it's true that they sometimes have to rush off to pick up his kid from school. It's not easy being a working parent! He's still the best dentist around imho.

His wife who is his secretary and office manager is even worse with very rude attitude. I've been here 3 times for cleaning. The first time Dr. Liu was good. Friendly and explained things to us. Each time after he just got colder and his visits got quicker. The third time he didn't even say hi when he entered the room and was cold and brushed off all our questions. His wife on the other hand was never friendly and got ruder and ruder the subsequent visits. This 4th time, we scheduled our cleaning at exactly 3:30pm for ourselves and our kid. We have our kid in school until 3:10 and don't live that close so we made sure to pick up him up 20 minutes earlier just so we can get there on time. Because that's the respectful thing to do. But when we got there at 3:28pm, we were surprised to find the front door locked, and the lights inside turned off! It was so weird. I rang the door bell many times, waited and rang the door bells again and again with no answer. I then called Dr. Liu's cellphone with no answer to the voicemail. Called the office phone and his wife picked up. I said we were there and the door was locked. She didn't apologize and said they went to pick up their kids from school and to wait. We waited until around 3:45pm and Dr. Liu came and unlocked the front door. When he saw me, no hi and no smile. NO acknowledgement of our existence and just walked to the back and disappeared. Wow! Sure it was not a long wait but it was the way they handled everything and not even apologizing and not even a hi when they saw us that really turned me off. We felt very disrespected and un-welcomed. I was upset and told his wife that it was not right that they didn't even tell us they had the office closed and locked and were running late and that we respected their time and picked up our kid earlier from school just so we can be on time for them. I cannot believe Dr. Liu's wife started rudely arguing with me saying it was just a few minutes and that it was not a big deal. I told her it wouldn't have been a big deal if they had notified me what was going on then to have us come to an empty office that was locked. But she continued to rudely defend themselves saying they did nothing wrong. That's when I said, we were leaving. Just wow! This really shows you how unprofessional and unethical this place is. This is not how you treat your customers. Now reflecting back, every time when we sign and pay the bills after our services, Dr. Liu's wife always said to us: "we charge extra, and if there's any left over after insurance, we will reimburse the money back to you". They were really pushy when I got xrays that showed I had "10 cavities", I was very skeptical since my last visit elsewhere i had no issues and asked for an explanation but they kept referring to other Drs. , who all weren't clear. Kept pushing to reschedule multiple days to have them all filled but when i refused they somehow had a spot that same hour to get one filled. I stayed and wasn't too thrilled with the results. After this i've gotten endless calls and emails to return (i will never). End of story i have gone to a new dentist who gave me the reassurance with xrays i actually had no cavities.
