In all of my years sitting in dental chairs, this is by far and wide my most positive experience with a surgeon, their front office, and the incredible work done. Since moving to New York 14 years ago, I have been seen and had work done by 6 dentists and 3 oral surgeons. I have never felt comfortable in their chairs, which is something as a patient, you really hope happens when you visit. I have been shamed for my teeth, referred by dentists to surgeons for extractions, aka teeth pulling "mills", where you feel like a number and all they do is put you to sleep, yank teeth, and send you home in agony. But when I was referred by my new awesome dentists to Dr. Wanatick, I knew the moment I walked in that I was in really good hands. I was anxious for my first visit and immediately put at ease by Dr. Wanatick. It was like he had seen my case 100 times and knew just what to do. I had curved and divergent roots on multiple sick teeth that needed to come out - problem is in an overcrowded space with no wriggle room, this can present as an impossible case to many dentists and surgeons. Dr. Wanatick's high tech x rays and state of the art equipment, along with his immense knowledge of teeth, bone structure, nerves, and how to best solve this case blew my mind. His team are kind, compassionate and competent. Everyone is excellent at what they do in Dr. Wanatick's office! He demands the best from his team and I love it. He treats them with kindness and respect and that says a lot about a person in general. It was like walking into a well oiled machine that feels like your living room, and are so full of knowledge and solutions, kindness and understanding. I never once even sat in the waiting room because they were ready for me - talk about incredible. We decided to break the surgery down into 2 parts - doing one side of my mouth first to ensure I would have a biting surface and the other side could heal. We started with the more difficult side on Monday which was 4 extractions and 3 implant surgeries. I was especially nervous about having to numb the upper area because that upper mouth shot has never not been painful for me - until Dr. Wanatick did it. I literally never felt as much as a pinch from his needle - he's THAT good. From past trauma post-op, I was expecting unbearable pain and swelling, but was again pleasantly shocked to have no pain the next day with just soreness, and very little swelling for the work done. It hasn't even been 48 hours since my surgery and you could have fooled me it even happened! The front office have called to check on me, as has Dr Wanatick. I've dreaded this surgery for years and thanks to Dr. Wanatick and his team, I'm actually looking forward to the next one. Thank you for helping me, for going above and beyond ti ensure my comfort, and more than anything - for taking away the nightmares I've had for years about my teeth. I was sent to Dr. Park to address issues I had with readiness for two implants. The plan was to…read moreaddress the issues so that the implants could go forward. Dr. Park discussed the need to perform a "sinus lift" procedure which would require bone grafts. There was a hollow area in my bone that required a graft as well. In addition, a tooth was being extracted. The long story short is after all the discussion and several CT scans and 3 visits, I came to find out Dr. Park charged me $1,200+ and DID NOT perform the sinus lift and DID NOT address the hollow area in my bone. All she did was pull my tooth and graft the socket where the tooth was removed. I've had tooth extractions done before and the sockets healed properly each time, so a bone graft for the extraction area was hardly necessary. The hollow area had apparently been caused by an infection. So, basically I paid $1,200+ for a tooth extraction. And I still need to see anyone else but Dr. Park about addressing the sinus lift. And to make matters worse, she denies all of this to my primary dentist - even though I had never heard of a sinus lift in my life until meeting Dr. Park. She is the worst dentist I've ever seen.

His equipment is state of the art. He constantly goes to trainings. His technique is always up to date. Best dentist ever! Also I read the review by the unsatisfied customer. Dr Liu is often preoccupied thinking about the difficult cases he handles. His wife speaks English as a second language. I have never had a problem with his wife. Her manner is just a bit distant but I've never taken it personally. They work so hard there. The bottom line is that Dr Liu does EXCELLENT work on intricate dental procedures. He did an implant on me to correct a botched root canal I had done overseas. I will forever be grateful to him and his staff for saving my teeth. Also it's true that they sometimes have to rush off to pick up his kid from school. It's not easy being a working parent! He's still the best dentist around imho.

His wife who is his secretary and office manager is even worse with very rude attitude. I've been here 3 times for cleaning. The first time Dr. Liu was good. Friendly and explained things to us. Each time after he just got colder and his visits got quicker. The third time he didn't even say hi when he entered the room and was cold and brushed off all our questions. His wife on the other hand was never friendly and got ruder and ruder the subsequent visits. This 4th time, we scheduled our cleaning at exactly 3:30pm for ourselves and our kid. We have our kid in school until 3:10 and don't live that close so we made sure to pick up him up 20 minutes earlier just so we can get there on time. Because that's the respectful thing to do. But when we got there at 3:28pm, we were surprised to find the front door locked, and the lights inside turned off! It was so weird. I rang the door bell many times, waited and rang the door bells again and again with no answer. I then called Dr. Liu's cellphone with no answer to the voicemail. Called the office phone and his wife picked up. I said we were there and the door was locked. She didn't apologize and said they went to pick up their kids from school and to wait. We waited until around 3:45pm and Dr. Liu came and unlocked the front door. When he saw me, no hi and no smile. NO acknowledgement of our existence and just walked to the back and disappeared. Wow! Sure it was not a long wait but it was the way they handled everything and not even apologizing and not even a hi when they saw us that really turned me off. We felt very disrespected and un-welcomed. I was upset and told his wife that it was not right that they didn't even tell us they had the office closed and locked and were running late and that we respected their time and picked up our kid earlier from school just so we can be on time for them. I cannot believe Dr. Liu's wife started rudely arguing with me saying it was just a few minutes and that it was not a big deal. I told her it wouldn't have been a big deal if they had notified me what was going on then to have us come to an empty office that was locked. But she continued to rudely defend themselves saying they did nothing wrong. That's when I said, we were leaving. Just wow! This really shows you how unprofessional and unethical this place is. This is not how you treat your customers. Now reflecting back, every time when we sign and pay the bills after our services, Dr. Liu's wife always said to us: "we charge extra, and if there's any left over after insurance, we will reimburse the money back to you". My first appointment was with Dr. Kumar- who was very calm, reassuring, and realistic. The doctor was not in a rush to do any invasive procedures that were not necessary at the time. The second appointment was with Dr. Morgan (and Dr. Kumar even came to visit!). Dr. Morgan was calm, explained everything she was doing, and very gentle- with an amazing personality. I explained to her where my pain was felt and she started her assessment. Her staff member I believe her name was Gabriel did my X-rays and Andria did my cleaning. Even though my appointment was strictly for tooth pain consult the staff was generous enough to take me in for a cleaning so my teeth can look pretty for my friend's wedding tomorrow. My first visit w her office was a success.
