The bathrooms are exceptionally clean. However each time we went to the bar we were charged a different price for the same drinks, in addition my friend who speaks fluent German was charged less than myself... In all we paid 4 different prices for the same drinks that evening. I would also warn any women drinking here to be very careful with their drinks as a couple of local men bought us drinks which were spiked. Thankfully I didn't drink it but my friend was very ill for a few days as a result.

Zero Customer Service! Truly an unpleasant experience- and from observation, fellow guest (German speakers), too expressed discontent with bar tender's professional manners and service type. It may have been best to cross the street to gas station & bought myself a beer! For the sake of giving bar tender benefit of the doubt of possibly having a bad day-1 of 5 stars, this is strictly for my great tasting beer. I wish the reader caution in trying the beautiful establishment and hope your experience is not nearly as horrible as mine. Cheers!!!

The schnitzel was tender and tasty; the fries, crisp and delicious. I can't say enough about how friendly the owners and staff are. They don't speak much English, we don't speak much German, but that never gets in the way of a good time. I'm not sure why this place is labelled a "dive bar." It's not. It's a classic, cozy, family-run Kolsch restaurant with traditional food. It's delicious, affordable, and very friendly.

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful when it came to explaining dishes that were in German on the menu. We ended up ordering the Currywurst and the cheese filled Schnitzel. WOW. They were probably the best of their kind that I've ever had. The currywurst was delicious and had just the right amount of curry in it. The schnitzel was filled with camembert cheese, cranberry sauce on the side, and a lovely fresh salad with a home made olive-oil based dressing. There were 3 of us and we were beyond full after sharing the two dishes above; the cheese filled schnitzel was sizable and very filling! If I ever am back in Cologne, I will be sure to visit this place again, and I can safely say that this was the best meal of my entire trans-Europe vacation (included Belgium, Amsterdam, and Germany) :) Thank you for the delicious food and hospitality!
