I walked into the LABikini on Bluebonnet and was instantly relaxed. Modern furniture, beautiful lighting, and a stunning floor to ceiling mural made the waiting area so comforting. The staff and my tech April were so friendly and walked me through everything I needed to know. I was escorted to my room to get ready for the sugaring. The room was equally relaxing , a comfortable temperature, warm lighting and was spotless. I had been hot waxing at a top wax center in BR (ya know the one from "Europe"), for over a year and was never really happy with the results and always would bleed and have ingrown hairs, but it was better than shaving everyday. I always had a different tech, because the staff seemed to be always changing and it was just so expensive. I had heard about sugaring was from a girlfriend and googled Sugaring near me and LABikini popped up and had a same day appointment available. It was Serendipity. I was thinking that the sugar paste was going to be similar to wax: hot, sticky and painful to rip off. Lucky for me, the sugaring process is nothing like waxing, and LA Bikini is nothing like other hair removal salons. My technician April, was a gift from the Aphrodite herself! Not only did she put me at ease she educated me on the entire process and resolved my issues completely. She also applied a mask to the whole area, which was a first for me. To sum up, the overall experience was fantastic, but what really got me was after I got home, I wasn't sore, or red, or bumpy, or even itchy. Any girl who has gotten regular waxing knows these side-effects well. Not one ingrown hair, didn't have to wait 24 hours for anything like waxing recommends. The hair that does grown back is slight and so soft, my skin is soft and smooth even with regrowth. I purchased the monthly membership where I can go as often I wish and a much better value for my hard earned money. The appointments are so fast and efficient, I go in on my lunch break and out in 15 minutes. Just go try it at LABikini, they are the best in town! I have been going to LA Bikini since they opened in Baton Rouge and cannot recommend it highly enough. The front desk is always friendly and accommodating (super easy to schedule appointments). The studio is immaculately clean at all times. The sugarists are prompt, professional and engaging. The process itself is so much more comfortable than waxing and the results build on themselves over time.
