Today I went and got a gel pedicure and a full set. Casey was my technician and she did amazing! I really loved the fact that she was patient with me (bc I'm so indecisive with picking a color!) When I didn't like how the color looked for my toes she went and retrieved several bottles just to make sure I was satisified. That's excellent customer service and that goes a long way! Awful full sets. All the nails were uneven and bumpy. They filed after they put the gloss coat on so the sides didn't even have gloss. Very rushed work. Ring finger was SHORTER than all the rest of the nails on one hand and experienced LIFTING on one of my fingers shorty after getting them done. EACH NAIL SHAPE WAS DIFFERENT. Bichonne Day Retreat is the only place I go to get my nails done! There are so many options out there, but this one is really worth the money. The pedicures are timed. You pay for a full 55 minutes instead of paying and someone rubbing lotion on your legs for 10 minutes like other places I have been. Everything is clearly sanitized and extremely clean. The employees talk with you (not about you) and are very friendly. The complimentary wine isn't so bad either! I get the gel manicure when I get my nails done. It lasts usually 2-3 weeks and they have a very wide variety of colors to choose from. They have multiple brands but I love the OPI! read more

I needed a few of my nails repainted, so I figured I'd just pop in to Bichonne to get that done, since it was close to where I work and I couldn't get to my normal salon in time before they closed. I had FIVE nails repainted....gel. They guy that did it did great, but it was when I went to pay that my experience changed. 30 FRICKEN DOLLARS for a polish change?!?! And I only had 5 nails repainted!! That price is absolutely ridiculous. A REFILL at my normal place is $35. Had I known that a simple polish change was fricken $30 from the beginning, I wouldn't have gotten them done here. I gave two stars because the guy that did my nails was awesome and he did a great job. read more

I've been to both Bichonne locations, but I am a regular at the Denham Springs spa. I get my nails done here frequently. I have gotten regular polish, gel polish, and dip. I have also gotten pedicures here. I go about once every couple weeks with my mom. I love it. Everything is very clean. I love how their system tracks how frequently you visit, it is very professional. All the nail techs are really sweet, though I am partial to Cindy (though she told me she's at Perkins most of the time, she does an immaculate job) and Maggie (SO funny, honest, and talkative! I love her!). There are a couple other girls I love too, but their names escape me. Honestly everyone does a fantastic job and I always look forward to my visits. They do a good dip nail but expect to wait 30+ minutes for your appointment. If I make an appointment then I expect it to be kept. Granted they are better than the location in baton rouge. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!! I have always gotten great service from Bichonne until today. They say they take walk-ins but if you are a walk-in you are their lowest priority. When I arrived they said they had 5 in line before us. But seeing the amount of staff they had I didn't think it was a problem. I have gone here numerous times with just a walk-in and it was fine. Well an HOUR AND A HALF later and I hadn't even been touched yet, and they said there were still 3 appointments ahead of me. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. I totally understand that appointments take priority. But they should not take walk-ins if they are completely booked with appointments. I would have rather been turned away then wait over an hour just to leave. Kristy does the most amazing lash extensions. She's so detail oriented and takes her time. She's very careful and has a gentle touch. I get the volume 3-4D lashes. They're so full and gorgeous. I get compliments almost every day on how stunning my lashes are. The environment is perfect. I actually look forward to refills because it's my sacred nap time. Wake up beautiful and refreshed. If you want the most beautiful lashes, go see Kristy. A lot of people ask if it's hard to maintain, but I actually find I save time not wearing mascara, eye liner, curling lashes, and removing eye makeup. I made an appointment for my sister & I to get pedicures at Bichonne Day Retreat after hearing great things about it from some friends. It sounded really nice, and I have to say, it definitely met and exceeded my expectations. I was impressed before I even got there simply because they have a great website (not the norm with nail salons in my experience), and because when I called to make our appointments, the person I spoke with was very nice & personable. Our appointment was at 11:00 am on a Saturday and we arrived at 10:40. The guy at the front desk checked us in & we were instructed to choose a bath bomb and our nail polish. While we were doing that, Sarah, my technician, came to get us both & seated us next to each other. She began my pedicure right away, about 15 minutes before our appointment time! My sister's pedicure started a few minutes after 11 by another technician. Both our pedicures were great! I got the Classic & she got the Pearl. Our technicians were friendly & they did an excellent job. I also want to add, the pedicures chairs are awesome! So comfortable compared to most salons! I randomly selected the "relax" button on the remote & that was hands down the best massage I've gotten in a pedicure chair! Truly! Also, one of my favorite things about our experience is that we were given a heated neck pillow, which felt AMAZING. We checked out afterwards & the girl who checked us out was also very sweet. This was a great experience. Before this, I had been going to the same nail salon by my house for the past four years. I wasn't looking for a new one, but tried this on a whim & was blown away. I hate places that don't do well cleaning around and under your toenails, and Sarah did a great job of it. I came in for the first time for a mani/pedi on 9/11/14. It was a slow afternoon, there were only two other women in the whole place with me and there was no wait. I had a gel manicure and the basic spa pedicure totaling $67 before tip. I think this is a bit more expensive than what I'm used to paying but the services were a bit nicer than I'm used to getting. I would say that Bichonne is a step above your typical strip mall nail salon but not quite a day spa. That being said, I was happy with my services and the tech that performed them. I wish I could remember her name but I don't. The salon itself is very large and they have several spa pedicure chairs and manicure stations. They do offer additional spa services and have a large menu of options. I was impressed with their polish color selection as well. I would not hesitate to recommend Bichonne! read more

I have been visiting this location since they opened and have always had very friendly service. I get my nails done every two weeks with a gel mani and they do a great job. They don't allow children under the age of 9 or 10 in the salon so the only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because it's a pain in the booty to try to find someone to watch my little one so I can go. I used to frequent Bichonne a few years back when they first opened, but I moved to Zachary and stopped due to the distance. I did however continue to refer friends and family that live in the area because of how impressed I had been. I just moved back to the area and decided to return since I was always pleased in the past. My first return visit (April 19th) was pleasant for the most part although I was told there would be a 40 minute wait, and I couldn't get the service I wanted (pink and white acrylic refill) because they didn't have the necessary products to refill my nails after I had already waited 40 minutes for this particular service. The guy who did my nail (I believe his name is Mike) was very kind and he did a great job! I decided to go back today, this time for a full set of pink and white acrylic nails. I arrived at 2:05pm, and by 2:09 I was seated. The young lady advises me again this time that it would be a 40 minute wait due to there only being one person that could provide my desired service. I didn't mind since I was not it a rush today. The front desk attendant came and seated me quickly. Unfortunately, that's as far as it went. About 5 people came in after me and were serviced before me. I was left waiting for an hour and thirty minutes and not one employee said a word to me. They didn't even bother to see if I'd like to get something else that could've been quicker. What they did do, was proceed to take photographs of themselves and other clients with two adorable baby kangaroos that another patron had brought in with her. Yes, that is correct, I was left waiting for 90 minutes while employees chatted and took pictures with baby kangaroos. I sat patiently until I couldn't take anymore, and then I left. As I walked out, was anyone apologetic?? Did anyone try to see why I was leaving without being serviced after waiting almost an hour longer than I should've? The answer is, no! No one said a word as I left. I appreciated the cleanliness and professionalism of this nail salon, but I will not be returning or referring anyone else...EVER!
