I have been dwelling on this for a couple years. Pudgy's motorcycle shop rebuilt my motor on a 78…read more1/2 1340. He called and told me he had good news and bad news. The good news is he had the motor running, the bad news is it blew the valve seats when he had it running, when I picked it up ( I put it in the back of my truck because I didnt have a ride to pick it up ). I asked so whats that mean? He told me the engine needed to be rebuilt again. I said and who is paying for that? He said I had to pay again to rebuild the engine. The price all in, motor and putting the bike back together totaled parts and labor over 14000.00. I Had brake issues returned it to have them check them was told they road tested them and they where ok, the master cylinder and caliper are both no good, the inner and outer primary's are both cracked bad, starter was sticking he said they fixed it but turns out its connected in the cover wrong, I took it for a ride when home and didn't go maybe a little more than a few miles from home to get gas and I stopped to say hi to a friend when the friend noticed gas leaking on the engine, The hose between the tanks was not clamped and the hose was dry rotted. Its been at least three riding seasons now since getting fixed and I still don't have it done. But it is now at a place I know will do the work and it will be done or it wont come home. I SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAD TO PAY TO FIX THE ENGINE TWICE. I was told "I will do you right", If that's what PUDGY CALLS DOING ME RIGHT, I'd hate to see what his doing me wrong is. When Pudgy said he needed money to buy parts or even if he didn't I brought him money to cover any cost. I feel Pudgy is NOT a man that stands behind his work, NOR IS HE HONEST. Or he would have fixed his mistake and not double charged me. I would not recommend his business to anyone. Years late but I was reminded today what a screwing I took.
