I cannot explain it all; you just have to go. The food is the main thing when you go out to eat, of course. I started with a kir, but not the Normandy version which I had before and it is nothing more than cassis with some local sparkling cider. I had one of the galettes. Galettes are, I guess you can say, like crepes but brown, so guessing wheat based?! No clue, really. But this one was delicious. It's flat, then filled with cheese, ham, some other interesting stuff and also a fried egg. Loved it! Also, it was quite a size so did fill me up. Might have to find that place again tomorrow!

It's probably best for lunch! For dinner, it works, but doesn't quite feel right unless you're trying to get something quick. The crepes are great. They're bigger than normal crepes, and heavier. La Ficelle provides an excellent array of fillings - pick from a list of 20! Or you can just choose your own. The crepes themselves taste almost like potato pancakes, especially the crispy edges. It's about 6€ for one crepe, and that's almost enough for a meal, but getting a salad is probably a good idea if you're hungry and/or want dietary balance.
