I've used L&H Painting twice now. Once before and once after the renters moved in and out. The important things to know or remember. They don't do any wall repairs. They will fill basic holes from pictures hung, but nothing else or larger. So you may have to hire a handyman like I did. They do an excellent job prepping, protecting surfaces with taping and all. Two the paint color I chose Porpoise DE6373 from Dunn Edwards paints does look a little blue on the walls. He warned me, and I see what he means. Might choose another grey next time. I'm keeping this note for myself to reference next time or someone else choosing this color. They did a great job. In and out in 2 days. Came fast, worked around my schedule. Super nice. read more

Stay away from this company!! Their employees have damaged my home, paint is pealing, excessive overspray covered by new flooring, bathroom fixtures, washer and dryer. Broken light fixture, leaking trucks in the driveway, trash left in the bushes are all part of having their employees provide services to your home. They claimed to prepare services for painting but two months after job was attempted, paint is pealing all over my home! Pay a little more and get a professional job done. You get what you pay for and their services are horrible and customer service level in their office is as substandard as their painting capabilities!!! read more

I called them out to quote an exterior paint job. We have a normal 2 story house with sun shade awning over the patio (professionally done). The guy took one look at it and said since it wasn't flat on the top to walk on they couldn't paint our house, then he left. I think if you're a professional painting company, you should be able to paint a 2 story home with an awning. read more

I agreed to the competitive quote and awaited a call from the office for scheduling. Fast forward, his team showed up on time, did the work professionally and finished the same day! 16x doors, bright white hi-gloss. I supplied the paint. This is so disappointing to write... I have used this company 4 times, spent well over $3000 with them and will NEVER use their services again! For starters- The "estimated" quote was not accurate as they did not disclose to us that as we changed colors in our bedrooms the price increases by $50 a room. When I addressed this with the owner he acted like he did not care and had no time to discuss it with me. My quote was for $600 and I ended up paying $700 due to my "not understanding him" (his words)! 2nd- They never covered up any furniture with plastic like we were told they would resulting with paint getting on my daughters bed spread. They actually folded over the bed spread to hide it... i guess! 3rd- They dropped paint on my carpet and tried to cover it up after cleaning it WITH WATER ONLY by putting a piece of furniture over it... RIDICULOUS! Who does that??? 4th- This is HANDS DOWN the WORST cutting job I have seen... I hired them because I cant create straight paint lines but, I'm more than positive i could do a better job than this. I can still see the paint they covered up on the ceiling line in 2 bedrooms. Needless to say, ill be finding a new painter. If you read this and continue working with them i highly recommend you inspect EVERYTHING in your home when that are completed and ask more than enough questions about what you are expecting to pay and receive from them. We were referred to L & H Painting by our general contractor "The People's Handyman" (Daniel). We recently moved to Temecula and our home was in dire need of fresh paint. The company sent out 3 people to paint interior rooms and all the woodwork. The price was very (!) reasonable. The quality of their work was absolutely excellent. The L & H crew did an amazing job of taping off fixtures, cutting in, super smooth paint application, no drips, splats or spills. The workers were very quick and polite. I "always" check Yelp for reviews on companies to do business with but this time I'm glad I didn't because of the prior negative review. Instead of searching for painters ourselves, we just went along with our GC's recommendation. Customer service is horrible! Huge language barrier. Estimator came out to quote a bid and when the painting foreman arrived they wanted to charge more money. I physically walked through each room that needed to be painted and the estimator "forgot to put it on the estimate". I hired this company based off a friends recommendation, and we both wish I hadn't. First of all, they just didn't show up the day they were scheduled to. We took off the morning to meet them and they simply didn't show. I had to call them to find out what the heck was going on. They didn't call or reach out at all. That meant having to take yet another morning off to meet them at the next appointment. Next, when they did show up, they didn't honor are pre-discussed request to certain parts of the house first, such as the doorways, so that we could leave for our planned vacation. Finally, the work was pretty bad (see pics) and they made significant mistakes on the front of our house which we will now have to pay someone else to fix. I can say that this one of the worst decisions I've made in regard to home maintenance. Buyer beware. read more

These guys did an awesome job. They came out and gave an estimate to paint the inside of our house. Very organized. Showed us their insurance and workers comp paperwork. The bid was super reasonable. We booked them to come out the next week. Paint day comes around and I get a call from the office saying that their workers are stuck in traffic and will be a little late. I love that they did this, very few companies do this. The appointment time rolls around and the workers show up on time! They weren't even late. Cool. An older husband and wife did the painting of our place. They were very nice and had good attention to detail. After a full days work the painting was done and they were on their way. We were referred by a close friend who has been in the real estate industry for years and has used L&H for something like 15 years. We got a total of 4 quotes, and they came in far less than the others. They use Dunn Edwards paint, which we were able to get a complementary color consult. One thing we didn't realize is that since we already lived in house, everything would get covered for 2 days. Luckily we do have family nearby, but in future I would recommend being more prepared to be away. I was very happy the paint didn't have a strong smell. The 2 painters who came were very nice, but not strong in English. We did have to pay extra for Whisper white vs Swiss Coffee for ceilings. read more

This review is long overdue since they did paint a bedroom and two bathrooms in my house. It is a family business but they are extremely professional and clean. The were very accommodating to the point that we needed to paint our bedroom door and since we hadn't bought the special type of paint for that, one of them went to the store to buy the paint and brought it back. Mr. Choi also who gave us the original estimate was very detailed and courteous and gave a very good estimate compared to the others we had received. I just had them come back for the third time to fix the job and I'm still so unhappy and over it. I had a quote to have the whole inside of my house painted. I just bought the house and I like the color, but noticed imperfections from whoever painted before and also just some dirty walls from kids and all so I wanted the same colors painted. Just fresh paint throughout, baseboards and all doors included. I was also having new floors and baseboards put in so I asked if the painters could come before the floors because I was worried about paint getting on my new floors. They informed me it would cost me about double to do it that way because of having to come back after to paint the installed baseboards. I trusted they wouldn't get paint on my floors, but THEY DID. Also everywhere that had a nail hole, or imperfection was so badly covered that it looked worse then before. Areas that were attempted to be patched had no sanding and no texture applied! Just lumpy paint!! I asked them to come back and fix it and had bad attitudes from the workers . They huffed and puffed the whole time. I had to provide wall texture spray because they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and then once again got it all over my floors. Oh and they took my spray with them when they left!! So a few days pass and I begin to notice that many of my walls and doors were NEVER painted! I guess they thought since I picked the same color that I would never notice! Shady!! I called them back once again and showed them my problem, they denied it and didn't paint the walls..more huffing and puffing.. they attempted to fix small areas, but I'm again seeing areas never painted. I'm so frustrated and sad! I have waited 22 years to buy a new house and wish I could feel happy, but feel ripped off. read more

Should be zero stars but yelp wont allow it. The owner is very rude and unprofessional. They try to push their own colors on you so they can make more profit. The colors they push on you are the left over colors from their prior jobs. He would not allow us to choose white for our doors and baseboards and only wanted to use swiss coffee color because he had it left over. He also wanted us to use his tan color for the walls. He was extremely rude to my client this morning and kept talking over her telling her, "you can get someone else to to do job and if you make me use the color white I will charge you an extra $1000". Stay away from this company and this owner. If you don't like something and ask him to come back, I fear that he may just get pissed off and say your on your own because I'm already paid. This is sad because i have used them before. I think there must have been a change of ownership. read more

This company was used by many of my co-workers. They were never great painters but were hard workers and very reasonably priced I used them in 2003. Their crew did a pretty good job. In 2006, I used them again. They sent out one guy to paint the whole house. This guy knew nothing about painting, did a terrible job, and flushed his towels down my drain, severely clogging my plumbing. When I called the office to complain, all I got was the "I no understand" routine. read more

Tom at L & H Paint is great to work with. We have used this company for several paint jobs. They painted the interior of my home, and the patio cover. They did a great job, and were very efficient and did a great job with clean up too. They are perfectionist with their detail work too. They are now doing all my house trim. They have also complete interior of my daughters house which was all raspberry and, and mint green, it also had wall paper. They did a fantastic job getting all the old color covered completely.
