A little more detail: Our house is over 20 years old, original roof shingles. This year the weather has been consistent with high winds, lots of thunderstorms, and some hail. I found some of the architectural shingle tabs in the yard and the shingles have a bit of curl along the edges. I checked out several roofers and they are all very busy. After meeting with a few I chose Family Roofing. Louis came out and we had a walk around the house. He pointed out all of the details of the work his crews perform according to their contract. Everything lined up with what I was looking for, so we picked out a color that closely matched our original shingle color. It took several weeks before his crew could come out. Lots of houses getting new roofs this year. There was a bit of a communication problem one day when I called for an update which was cleared up the next time we talked. He ordered the shingles and had them dropped off in our driveway as per our previous conversations. Louis called after about a week and said that they would be out the next day so I moved our cars to make room for them. They started work before 7am by covering the ground/patio/plants, then started removing the shingles. Yep that's loud in the house but that's normal. They had the roof off in about an hour and started laying down the paper. I had to take my wife to a doctor's appointment and when I came back they were starting to lay down the shingles. They finished up with debris cleanup and dragging a huge magnet in the yard about 6 or 7pm. All in all it worked out very well for us, took a while during a very busy season for all of the roofers, and now we have a new, safe roof! Thank you Louis and Miguel!

Soon after, they finished everything in less than two days and a half. They also helped with painting the wall and ceiling to make sure everything looks well blended in after the drywall work. They're also very professional in keeping my home clean even though drywall work is often dusty. They put builder's paper to protect my floor and they vacuum and clean very well right before they leave. Would highly recommend to work with them on drywall projects.

He wanted us to be 100% happy and wasn't looking to make a quick buck. This is a person who values integrity and a job well done. He and his team did great work and communicated well with us. Joseph was kind enough to share his expertise on various home repair stuff. It's nice to know why something needs to be done, rather than just being told it needs to be done. Joseph was also remarkably good at following up on details, and is a bit of a perfectionist in the best possible way. The company that was contracted to repair our gutters didn't do the job quite right in one corner, causing water to pour off the gutter when it rained. Even though he'd already been paid, Joseph didn't rest until the company came out again to do the job right, and on top of that he sent one of his men out to add some flashing in that corner as well.
