I generally rebuild my own transmissions. However time was a constraint and I was not very familiar with the NP 435 (I rebuild toploader 4 speeds for 60's Fords). I had purchased several clutches and various parts from them over the years and they have always been very fair with pricing and had great availability. So I figured I would give them a try. They were very accommodating when it came to the drop off. I was running late and they stayed a few minutes after close to receive my transmission. I got the transmission back sooner than expected and I was very happy with the price and quality of parts. I was able to speak with the gentleman who rebuilt it (George). He is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to go over all of the parts replaced and where he sourced them(quality is everything to me). Place is a rip off had my car towed there because somebody recommended them and after they held it for a week tells me that they can't fix it because of the type of transmission ( there a trans shop) and can't tell what transmission is in it so for this they charge me for the tow and for telling me there a half ass shop $260 gone do your self a favor find a better place and some advice for the owner you should have done the right thing instead of ripping people off I would have gladly paid for the tow but to charge me a fee to tell me you can't work on it that's criminal read more

Sent my 4L60E from my 96 chevy k1500, got it back within a really quick time, built really well, customer service was astounding and the builder went into detail about what went wrong and what they did to prevent it with adding some other preventative things that can help this transmission last a long time, will definitely be taking another transmission back there if i need another one rebuilt. 10 out of 10! First time at this shop and they were very good. Prices are great and they did great work. I had them change my tailshaft seal, bushing, u joint and slip yoke. I also asked them to look at another issue that only happens occasionally. They were not able to replicate the issue I was having. Instead of selling me hundreds of dollars in parts that I did not need, they were honest with me and told me they couldn't replicate the issue. This is a very honest and trustworthy shop. I can't say enough good things about L&L, a few years ago I brought my vehicle to them for a engine cradle replacement, it was done quickly, economically and WAY cheaper than my local mechanic so when my next vehicle needed a starter replacement they were my first choice, gave them a call, Danielle quoted me a price to have it installed, a very fair price but they couldn't get to it for a week or so, no problem, I brought it to them as I had another vehicle so no hurry, on a Monday, Danielle told me they would try to squeeze it in by Friday. Well on Tuesday I received a call from Mark, they had finished it, and the price was lower than what I was quoted by Danielle. I had some fairly minor vehicle service done here. Best price quote I could get, and the work was done right. The staff was friendly (both on the phone and in person). The waiting room is quite small, but was suitable for my short wait. I got the feeling most customers just drop their vehicle off and come back later. That works for some, but not all. If you plan on waiting, just inform the staff when setting up an appointment, and they will take note. Although I did not have any major work done on my truck, simply based the experience I had, I will be using L&L again, should the need arise. They are a full service garage (although specialize in transmission work), and their prices are very reasonable. That's really all most of us ask for. I certainly was not disappointed. read more

They were great!! L & L listened over the phone 1st, most places these days wont give you their time to even listen, they just try to book you. They were able to get us right in. When my husband got there, they took him with them, for the test drive to help point out the problem. We found out it was operator error on our part with our truck. After the test drive they still put it on the lift to check and make sure. After all the time and effort the truck was fine and no charge for the reassurance and advice! So many places would have at least charged us the service fee or found a bullshit fix to charge. L &L transmission were honest and just awesome!!! Also you can find their price list on their website after shopping around they have the lowest prices compared to most!! They got a life time customer out of us now after our experience!!! PS...
