I put the appointment in my calendar and never got a confirmation by text or email, so I started trying to call them the day before and day of the appointment to confirm the time. I was left on hold for six minutes both times I called before being shunted to voice mail, and also used the online contact form. After close to two hours I get a call back saying that they had no record of the appointment and didn't have my information in their system (even though I had spoken with this same department two weeks earlier and wrote down the appointment time they gave me). This is NOT a company I would want to deal with to install or service a generator. I actually feel relieved that I dodged a bullet, but I wish I had believed the negative Yelp reviews I saw here and not wasted my time giving them a shot just because a couple of people who clearly had better experiences with them than I did recommended them on Reddit.

After having another "Authorized Generac Dealer" come out and (try) to diagnose and repair a…read moreproblem I was having with my generator not recognizing utility power, and then trying to sell me an entire new Transfer Switch because they "THOUGHT" that's what it "MIGHT BE", I decided to contact Generac customer service. Generac suggested I give Northeast Generator a call. Dan was a pleasure to deal with. And unlike every other Generac Service place I called, was less interested in trying to sign me up for an annual contract, but more interested in helping me and getting to the root of my problem. Their technician (Scott) came out at our scheduled appointment, on time, and within 10 minutes diagnosed the exact problem as being the Controller / Mother Board on the generator, And as if that wasn't great enough, he had one on the truck and had it fixed and back up and running in under an hour. And guess what? It WASN'T THE TRANSFER SWITCH!! Thanks again to Dan & Scott and everyone at Northeast Generator. You guys are great1

During the crazy storm in August of 2020, many people in our town couldn't reach Cannondale to fix their generators. We decided on A&J because of how communicative they were - they worked around the clock during that storm to help their customers. Since then, we've had nothing but positive experiences with A&J. Our generator is getting up there in age, so we had to have several service calls this year. We were able to immediately reach someone via phone and email. Each time they sent someone over quickly. One time, our generator stopped working overnight during a power outage. We called them at 5am and they had someone at our house by 7am.
