I spoke with one of the owners, John, on the phone about the monetary details after his brother, Mike, came to my home for the estimation process. They provide a brochure which detailed the process with a complete description of the products which they had. They provided a list of over a hundred satisfied customers. They scheduled the project for about 2-3 weeks out, and on the day which the project was to start, their crew of 12 workers showed up early in the morning and 100% finished the job by late afternoon. The finished project was completed with no details left undone - I say this because I got up on the roof the next day to check out their work. The finished product was very well done - no bad cuts on any shingles, the flashing was completely sealed around the chimney, and the gutter-guards were installed perfectly. The crew did a great clean-up, and except for the beautiful new roof, you couldn't even tell that a 12 person crew had ever been there - not a speck of trash. The other good news was that Oak Roofing is a Veteran friendly company, so the discount was a bonus - every little bit helps these days. We are so happy with the result we asked them to remodel our three bathrooms. Again, their quote was better than the other 8 companies we compared with. Their timing and flexibility was better as well! Throughout the process of bathroom remodeling, they were extremely helpful, accommodating and easy to work with. From picking tiles and helping us with the pickup (usually pretty expensive), to going out of their ways to seal cracks for us on the wall and hanging paintings for my mom. They even offered to walk my dog when they were working with us. They are excellent at what they do. See images for the before and after of the bathrooms. We love our 3 bathrooms now. They were able to accommodate everything we asked them too. Including changing old electric outlets, adding a shower in the guest bathroom, and switching the vent to a heated vent. They even helped to fix my kitchen sink that a plumber failed after trying for 3 days! They are also honest people. I did notice a cracked window and Rob immediately ordered a new one and covered the cost. So they do honor their warranty on their work. Anyone that is looking to get their roof replaced I would recommend L & S Home Improvements for the job. From the start when their Salesman James came out and gave me the bid for the job he was very courteous and knowledgeable about what had to be done and gave me a very fair quote. They were not the cheapest but I must say that they were definitely in the ball park for the work I wanted done. What sold me was the fact that they do not sub-contract the work to somebody else. Having their own people to do the job means a lot. The same crew that works together everyday and knows how the owner wants the job done is a plus. When they came out the whole crew was very professional. They covered everything including my car in the garage. They got the job done quickly without any problems and it was a joy to have this Company perform the work and it looks great. I would recommend them to anyone that needs roof or gutter work done. L&S did a fantastic job! From start to finish. Kathryn came out to do measurements, explained in detail what was needed and gave an accurate estimate for the job. The crew was professional and courteous, and completed the job in one day. The cleanup afterward was so thorough, not a single piece of paper was put into my trash container. After the dumpster was removed, I went over the driveway with a magnet and found ONLY four nails that had been left behind. They came back and did a follow up, to make sure that I was satisfied with their work. I still need other home improvements, and will only consider L&S for the job. read more

I met Matt from L&S Home Improvements at the Novi Home show last month. He was quick to follow up with me regarding a roof repair that I told him I needed. He came out to give me a quote and did the repair a few days later. I was impressed with his professionalism and promptness to fix my leaking roof. His has very quality workmanship and made sure that the repair was done with the same material I currently have on my roof so that repair was less noticeable. Samantha came out on the day and time as planned ahead, she got us a fair price and explained everything that they had to offer, I didn't choose them because it was the lowest offer, I chose them because I liked what they had to offer.
