This is my pre construction review. I'll add the good or the bad after my roof has been installed. Tony Elie has been my go to contact from day one. Tony has been on time and worked hard to get my price target. I've had 4 quotes and tony was the only one to explain why I was having roof issues and how to properly fix them while staying in my budget. His crew is scheduled to come out within 2 weeks to start the project and tony has said it should only take 2 days. The other company's had me 6 to 8 weeks out and they couldn't come sooner even though I'm having water spots on my drywall. Tony wasn't just about the deal, he has the human aspect as well. You can tell he cares and always take time when I call to ask questions. He came to my worksite when I was busy just so he could show the details and materials that would be used and cover the warranty details as well. I climbed on to the roof to verify the correct items were to be installed and noticed the wrong underlayment and ice shield. I had ordered GAF Deck Armor underlayment and GAF Weather Watch Ice shield, these items were substituted with cheaper items GAF Tiger Paw and IKO ice shield. Tony said his supply rep says Deck Armor is not being produced until mid August and they were out of weather watch. Tony said this would not affect my warranty and suggested we could cancel the job. I informed him I would like the roof done with the materials in the contract and that other supply houses in the area had both in stock. Tony delivered the correct materials later that day. The independent subcontractor arrived on 7/31, they were supposed to be done in 2 days, but took 4 days to complete the roof. There was no inclement weather during this time. There was no protection to the house (see pics). Tony had his project manager come back out to correct a few things and go into attic to check on the bathroom fans venting properly a few days later. Of course the project manager will mention bath vents did not need to be vented to the roof and that venting through a soffit vent (an intake vent) is fine, he would have to do more work. After the Tony's crew made the "corrections", I noticed there were still multiple issues and such as debris in gutters including a tube of caulk!! And lifting shingles. Tony mentioned they were a little backed up and to give them a few weeks to come out and correct it. On 8/28, I hired a roof inspector to come look at the work and she was stunned at the workmanship, see pics. On 8/29 I filed a workmanship claim with GAF, the shingle manufacturer. On 9/14 Tony returned with the crew to have them make the corrections stated by GAF. When Tony pointed out some flashing that needed to be replaced and the bath vents to be installed, the project manager told Tony "they were not in his work order and he doesn't give a f**k" in front of me and walked away. The project manager pulled me to the side and asked about the window which had multiple scratches and claimed that Roofing Above All was shady and they were holding partial payment from this job and another he had completed. Project manager asked me what my end game was and after I mentioned I wanted the damage fixed he threatened to put a lien on the house. Tony apologized for the bath vents not being installed that day and said his brother Matt would come out and install the bath vents. On 9/18, Matt Elie, (president of the company) came out. Matt apologized for the issues and then claimed I was creating a "laundry list" of issues and caused them problems. Matt said I should "let the window go", I was stunned he would say this and said no. I told Matt to stop interrupting me and let me explain I had been patient after they said they were busy and the miscommunication as Tony calls it in wrong materials being delivered. I informed him filing a claim is what lit a fire under them to get out here and fix the issues. I pointed out some flashing and he fixed it claiming it was a "freebie" because it matched the paint of my house. No, that is flashing that should have been addressed during the roof replacement. I pointed out a cap shingle that was calked together near front of house (see pics) and they thought this was acceptable. Also, pointed out chipping paint around house and on gutters where ladders were, along with a bowed gutter. No other roofer mentioned gutters needing replacement as they function properly and were only bowed/pulling away in two areas after the roof replacement, inspector mentioned this also. Matt did offer to touch up the paint if I supplied the paint and they did cut a check for the window after I said I would not let it go. read more

Tony was thorough, prompt and always responsive. The task took a couple of days longer than expected. The clean up was not perfect as quite a few nails were found in the lawn area. However, Tony was quick to send his guys the next day for proper cleaning. After the task, Tony came to do a proper inspection. But I am very happy with the job done. I hired Ridgecon to replace my roof and gutters. The abundance of positive reviews is what initially attracted me to Ridgecon and I'm happy to say that I also had a positive experience. Tony, who owns the company with his brother, is who I primarily worked with. When I was shopping around, he was very responsive to the questions I had and promptly returned or answered any of my calls. He was forthcoming with what they can and cannot do, was not pushy, answered all of my questions, and did not try to upsell me on things I did not need. In the time between signing the contract and starting the job, Tony or one of his staff members contacted me to communicate what would happen next, what the expected timeline was, and anything that could potentially delay the timeline or go wrong. The materials and dumpster were delivered the day that they said they would, the job was completed within 9-10 hours in the timespan they said they would come, the workers were professional and cleaned up, and the dumpster was removed the next day; a couple of hours after I paid and a day before it was expected to be removed. A couple of hours into the job, Tony came over to check on the workers and asked if there was any questions I had or anything I needed. At the end the job Tony called me to check on things and schedule the payment. The next day Tony came and did a walk through and inspection of the work with me, showed what they did, made sure I was happy, and answered any questions I had. Overall, communication was excellent, everybody was professional and honest, the price was fair, and I'm pleased with their work. I'll be considering them for some siding work in the spring and I would recommend them to others. read more

I had the roof replaced on my house by Ridgecon Construction and I was more than happy with the outcome and the whole process. I did some research, got a few quotes and I decided to go with Ridgecon based on reviews, references and materials. Jay is very professional and knowledgeable and will guide you through the whole roofing replacement process. He will explain to you the differences between many types of materials that you can pick for your new roof (underlayment, shingles, vents) and you will want to know this. They had an opening sooner than I expected and since the weather was beautiful I decided to do it that day. The crew for tear down arrived early in the morning and got the roof deck clean in just a few hours. After they got done they cleaned up real well. I did not find a single nail in the grass. The roofing crew started right after that and let me tell you that this crew is one of the most professional crews that you can find. After they did an excellent job on the roof they cleaned the gutters, got everything off the roof and all went around the house picking up everything that was left. Had Roofing Above All come out and do my Roof. Was quoted for one day, but it took 2 days. It happens, but the cleanup could've been better. I have a dog, and found quite a few nails in my backyard, along with cut metal. Also didn't put the drainpipe for my gutters back on, so i had to climb up and fix it. Gatorade bottles left in my front yard from the workers. So overall the Quality of the roof work was excellent, but the time it took, and the cleanup dropped it 2 stars. read more
