I ordered the basic powdered sugar waffle, liege style. My husband ordered the Belgian style waffle which was topped with macerated strawberries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Again, the waffle and strawberries weren't warm so it was like eating a dry stale cold waffle with cold strawberries and a scoop of ice cream. Disappointing to say the least. I'd pass on this place and stick with the street vendors where you can watch them make it in front of your eyes and served warm.

The tea shop appears to be family owned and both the wife and husband were extremely kind and helpful. The wife helped us pick tea, speaking a little English, and was very encouraging towards our own attempts at French. In addition to buying tea to go, we also had a cup on the spot. The tea was great and the environment was warm and relaxing, with jazz music playing in the background. Lastly, the store has a nice selection of different Belgian sweets (chocolate, cookies, etc.) from other businesses if tea is, well, not your cup of tea. Overall, this tea house is an amazing gem nestled in a rather busy and occasionally touristy area that should not be missed.

I asked someone who was working there if they could microwave it. The person laughed (or appeared to laugh) and told me it was supposed to be like that. I said I couldn't eat it like this and that I didn't want to waste food. She did not respond. I was left with my food and had to throw it away. The staff does not make you feel welcome and talks back in an unfriendly way.
