My friend and I came here for dinner our first night in Paris and loved it! I had seen several people online recommend L'Atelier du Marché, so we went ahead and made a reservation for dinner. About a 10-15 minute walk from Arc de Triomphe, it is in a good location. I absolutely loved the vibe of the restaurant. The menus were super fun, the vibes were restroom and chic, and I loved all the 70's American music they were playing. Service was decent, I thought it could have been more attentive though. They offer a set price meal of a starter/main course or main course/dessert during both lunch and dinner. I found this to be a great option, especially for the price. Our food came out in a timely manner, but I thought we waited longer compared to other restaurants in the area. I ended up ordering the starter and plate for my meal. My starter came out first and I ended up ordering the French Onion Soup. They also gave us a complimentary basket of French bread when the soup arrived. The soup was a generous portion, topped with broiled comté cheese and baguette pieces. First time have authentic French Onion Soup and I can say this was magnificent! The soup had copious amounts of perfectly cooked onions, these cheese was layered on perfectly, and baguette absorbed the luscious soup so well! I would highly recommend this as a starter. About 10 minutes later my entree arrived. For my entree, I opted for the Sea Bass Fillet which came with seasonal vegetables. This was a simple yet very tasty dish. The sea bass was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The vegetables were also cooked nicely. Needed some salt, but so do most meals in France. A very balanced, fresh meal that is sure to please. I tried some of my friends mashed potatoes that came with her entree--and WOW. They were whipped with lots of butter, just heavenly! Overall, L'Atelier du Marché provided a very nice meal for us. We left full and very satisfied with our experience. They place was lively with great vibes. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the aesthetic of the restaurant. Wonderful little bistro tucked a little out of the weigh from Champs d'Elysee which is likely partially why the restaurant was so good. Amazing french onion soup. Bavette frites plat du jour was good, frites were amazing, though the steak was slightly tough, but the sauce helped a lot. Great service and really cute inside. Highly recommend! read more

Been here many times and always been pretty good...just fancied a salad (which are usually prodigious here) but none on the menu at this time of the year...hmm...so ordered the day's special of onglet, sautées and lettuce...my partner had the salmon tartare which looked very good The onglet however could hardly be cut and it wasn't the cooking (a point) or the knife but the meat itself, just one big piece of gristle...so I pointed this out and it was whisked away and a short time after an excellent onglet arrived - seriously delicious and tender....shame about the first attempt Will go back for the salad when the weather improves! read more

Authentic, cozy-but-not-too-small French restaurant tucked away behind Place de Ternes with a great menu and great service. Food wise, the foie gras was very good, the cote de boef was amazing, the thon rouge was very good as was the entrecote which unfortunately needed to be sent back because it was over-cooked. The filet mignon was somewhat disappointing both in shape (was it perhaps butterflied) and in taste. The tarte fine de pommes was great. The wine list was great, lots of solid work-a-day French wines available from say 20 to 50 euros per bottle (e.g., Aloxe Corton, Savingy les Beaunes, Fixin as three examples of their red burgundies). Beware however the onion soup which while authentically French may be seen by many Americans as weakly flavored because I think they are starting it with water and onions only, as opposed to a beef stock, which is a more commonly used base in American French onion soup. read more

This is a very cozy little restaurant tucked away in a nice neighborhood of Paris. We enjoyed our meal here. The food was adequate, but not overly impressive. The service was prompt (for Paris) and friendly. The ambiance was excellent. Overall, a nice experience. We would go back again sometime. read more

We had an amazing meal here for lunch. The duck was perfect, and the potatoes that came with it were to die for. My son had "plain" ravioli (which had lobster in it) and he thought it was delicious (so did I ). My wife has the scallops with risotto and that was also fantastic. The "guacamole" appetizer was a real surprise, it looked more like a confection and had a great variety of flavors. The house made desserts were also great. read more

We had a wonderful dinner here our last night in Paris. Food was delicious, service was warm and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and unpretentious. To start, we ordered the French onion soup, ravioli, and avocado crayfish. Our main courses were the prawn skewers, duck, beef, and scallop risotto. Desserts were the rum baba and creme brulee. So disappointed! My husband and I had eaten here on my first visit to Paris in 2009. We loved this place so much that we had dinner here 3 nights in a row out of our 5 nights in Paris. We came back to Paris this month and decided we wanted to have dinner here again. We booked online at least one month prior to our visit. In fact, we received a confirmation/reminder email the day of the reservation. We took a taxi from our hotel (which was quite a trek from our hotel). When we arrived, we were coldly told that they were closed for a private event. I showed them the email confirming my reservation and they didn't even apologize. There was no attempt to do right for their mistake. Unfortunately, we will scratch this place off our list for future visits. read more

This is the first negative review I have written, We came on the reviews but our experience was very different. It is a small menu and many things had been finished although it was very early in the evening leaving little to choose. We ordered the duck well done. It arrived raw in the middle. We spoke to the waitress who said sorry and it went back to the kitchen. Very quickly it arrived back at our table hardly more cooked. It was still very red. The bread was stale, potatoes that looked roasted were still cold in the middle and old. The steak was carbonised on the outside. The food here is not good and there is no care. Why come to Paris to eat badly. read more
