We had dinner at Les Fauves based on a recommendation from the hotel concierge. The restaurant is casual, cute, and clean. Service was excellent-attentive and fun. I had the SuperNature Salad which was excellent and I want to try to replicate at home. The restaurant was packed by 8:00PM. My friends had steak and duck which they thought was very good. We loved both bottles of wine and the tiramisu café with salted butter caramel.

The food is good and I recommend to make reservations. The service is ok and the location is very central next to Gare Montparnasse.

Excellent flavors and food! I recommend coming outside typical French lunch hours. Starts quieting down around 1:40pm for lunch. The velouté de potimarron (pumpkin soup) is delicious. Nice and creamy, a bit sweet, with a wonderful balance of textures. A little crunch from the roasted pumpkin, and chewiness with the cooked an mushrooms. A great touch of creamy mousse on top for decoration. Perfectly executed. Good fresh bread. Honestly disappointed by the lunch main course (in the lunch formula). I asked to get a vegetarian option because I don't eat beef, and it was not very flavorful, apart from the little spice from the sauce, the rice based spaghetti was tasteless... the veggies were ok because non-greasy, but just disappointed. I wished they have more options for the lunch menu. Next time, I'll definitely take off the menu and take what I want. The portion is large, however. The staff was ok. One waitress was friendly (although very speedy at lunch time), another waiter didn't seem like he was enjoying his time there... barely made eye contact, wasn't super friendly. Nice presentation of the dishes. I don't recommend the lunch menu unless you're in the mood for that exact food. Get from a la carte and you won't be disappointed! Will be back to try again. I had high expectations.

I stopped by here after leaving the train station. I had a glass of wine and ended up ordering Vegan Bolognese. The dish was delicious with black mushrooms and smoked tofu. Very nice size portions. Staff speaks English.

Very good and fresh food. Very beautiful place, trendy deco. A little bit too expensive.

By far great spot! Been here about 4 times since my stay in Paris. And...I keep coming back. Excellent

Excellent little place for an intimate breakfast. Attentive service and nice view. Had their traditional 3-layered egg appetizer with mayo; scrumptious to say the least.

Sadly, the baguette was kind of mushy and not crispy. I did not enjoy the flavor compared to the other ones I've had in the neighborhood. I really wanted to love it... since I noticed several people walking down the street eating a baguette from here with the Merci Jerome bag in hand. Frankly, it was not my favorite and I ditched it after only one bite.

The croque monsieur had a generous pile of gruyère melted on the sides of the bread with a proportional amount of meat and filling on the inside. With the croque monsieur warmed up, it made a perfect brunch meal with the ube latte. The ube latte is exactly what you would expect but crafted carefully. I would just go back for this delightfully warm concoction in the morning. The service to go along with this made this experience more pleasant as it seems most of the employees were filipinos. They were quick to receive you and leave you beyond satisfied. The shop exudes the classic parisian aesthetic that most people would romanticize and I am glad I experienced it. I would come back for the pleasant experience - try out Merci Jérôme!

The portion sizes were excellent for the price. I was expecting smaller portions, so I was pleasantly surprised when my plate came out packed with food and definitely worth the value. I came here on my first visit to France with my sister and brother-in-law. I had just finished my time at the Eiffel tower and walked over to this restaurant for a drink and a snack. I was seated immediately, waiting for the rest of my party. The staff were incredibly patient, allowing me to stay for the fifteen-ish minutes it took for my family to arrive. We, of course, ordered the hot chocolate topped with cream. It was incredibly rich, which was the draw. It was required that we each ordered our own teapot, which provided about two and a half cups of hot chocolate. This was a bit excessive, as the drink was heavy and I could only stomach a cup. I did wish the restaurant allowed us to split the pot amongst our table. Nonetheless, I enjoy dining at Carette and returned on my second Paris trip with my husband. Anyone visiting for the first time should try their thick hot chocolate at least once.

The owner is straight forward to warn larger groups of the small tight spaces up top and wards off any NBA players without helmets as their is low clearance upstairs. The menu is all French and limited English by the servers but it's easy enough to navigate. We came with 5 for Sunday brunch and sat right away but one had to sort of share space at the table. We ordered mixes of omelettes and Benedicts. All came with nice small whole potatoes and a little sour cream. You can modify or add quite a bit. Eggs are your choice of style ultimately and apparently the brunch includes pancakes. We were confused by that and they come after you've eaten the other items. I'm not sure if we paid for that or not but we chose to move on without. It came with your choice of tea or coffee AND a small orange juice. The eggs were cooked very delicately and moist with cheese and good meat in the omelette. Overall it was a fine breakfast compared to croissants and coffee but a little expensive.
