My partner falls into the first category, and was like a kid in a candy store when we first walked in. We shared a zucchini quiche, and while neither of us are typically super into quiches, we both found it to be absolutely delicious. The crust was thin and flaky and perfect, and the flavors perfectly balanced. I also had the vanilla eclair and it was delightful. The pastry was so light and fluffy, and the filling not too sweet and wonderfully creamy and vanilla-y. My partner had a slice of the couronne de reines--essentially a cake with orange peels, ginger bits, and cherries. He found it to be absolutely incredible. We had some wonderful coffees to go with our breakfast as well.

It's my fault, really. I should have done my research beforehand. I was confused by the visible lack of any viennoiseries on display. (I was planning on having a croissant and a hot drink for my breakfast there) They didn't have any croissant, so after some hesitation, I picked what looked like a savoury bread, which had the name of the establishment. I assumed it was their signature stuff. The bread tasted stale and weird. I also had a banana bread, which was on the stodgier side. I was disappointed. And only when I looked up this bakery's name afterward, did I learn this is some kind of gluten-free themed bakery. On a flip side, the seating area is spacious and very comfortable.

We got some beverages and I particularly enjoyed my ice latte. This cafe had a cute ambiance and the staff was really nice. Great place to pop in and enjoy a coffee.

It contained passports, cash, medicine, and other personal belongings - things that are difficult to replace (my bag isn't even available to purchase again anymore) The general manager came out, helped us with police, and the restaurant also comped our dinner, but it unfortunately just really doesn't come close to making up for what we lost or the stress this caused. What is most alarming is the complete lack of security. For a restaurant that attracts so many tourists, we were told there are no security cameras or other security measures in place. We were seated in the middle of the patio, not even near the edge, yet someone was still able to come and steal our belongings. While I appreciate the staff's efforts afterward, this is something that could have been prevented or, at the very least, better addressed. Instead, nothing could be done because there were no security measures in place. I hope management takes guest safety much more seriously so no one else has to go through the same experience. To make matters worse, we even found a bug in one of our dishes. While the restaurant replaced it, that's another issue that never should have happened. What was supposed to be a special evening turned into an incredibly upsetting experience. The safety risks simply outweigh any reason to dine here and for that reason, we highly recommend staying away from here.
