My friend wanted to come here because she bought her favourite pair of earrings here yeears ago...so we came in for a bit of a mooch. This place is full of interesting jewellery- some of it was gorgeous/ some of it was not really to my taste. BUT Jewellery is always a very personal thing to choose - so maybe other yelpers'd like the things I cringed at. There was also a large selection of different minerals and gemstones for sale...so this place would make any collector of stones happy. I bought a couple of pairs of pearl earrings with Stirling silver backs (for £6 each!!) and left very happy.

In an area ram-packed with jewelers, Ring stands out for all of the right reasons: it actually…read morelooks like a professional establishment, the service is prompt and advice good, and wares on offer, including the service to make whatever item you're looking for, are excellent. Let's just say there's a reason I'm getting me wedding rings done here! The Lanes area is known for its jewelry shops, most having been around for years and years. If you wander the Lanes windy side alleys, you can find more than one place offering a window-full of pieces, clearly bought and sold frequently over the years. These places all share a slightly seedy look: prices are scribbled by hand on tags, faded suede and velvet couches all of the glittering items... Not exactly confidence inspiring for the prospective ring shopper. This is where Ring stands out: it looks professional. It is clearly run and organised properly, and as such can offer a much more comprehensive service. The items on display in their window are perfectly nice enough, but the real trick comes when you walk in and ask for advice. The service is comprehensive, friendly and informed, and more than you could expect from a jewelers. As stated above, Ring pride themselves on their ability to make whatever the customer wants. Give them some guidelines, and they'll guide you through making your perfect piece. In my case, all I need is a bog-standard wedding ring: we still went through absolutely everything I might need. Although their name might not imply it, Ring also make other bespoke jewelry, just pop in if there's something else you want made. In need of that special piece of bespoke jewelry? Go no further than Ring.

Goodman Morris' design collection is oozing with style and sophistication. It's all about the simplicity. Like the simple stroke of an artist's crayon, these rings, bracelets, necklaces and chokers are serious eye candy. Where else can you find a store that uses rough black diamonds as beads? There are more intricate pieces too, which include diamonds and other precious stones, and they stock collections from other designers such as Alex Monroe, Niessing, Claire Van-Holthe and Wouters & Hendrix. I own one of the less expensive items in the collection, the silver raindrop necklace which I think set me back just a measly £60.

While not as old-fashioned or diamond-heavy as some of the older places just down Meeting House Lane, Jeremy Hoye's stuff is much more modern, up to date, and just a little bit more eccentric, with plenty of colourful and vibrant pieces: a bit much for me, but not out of place in the Brightonian aesthetic. Apart from their slightly more colourful fare, there is a big selection of engagement and wedding rings: again, all a bit much for me, and very little in gold (the focus here seems to be on silver and platinum), Still, if that sounds like your sort of thing, give Jeremy Hoye a go: there are so many jewelers in Brighton, maybe this is the one for you!

I had previously purchased a coloured diamond that she had fallen in love with. I took this diamond around all the jewellers in Brightons laines to have this diamond set into a ring. My requirements were very exacting. All of the jewellers seemed to be only interested in taking my money. All that is until I walked into Vogue Diamond. I sat down for a consultation with a friendly member of staff. Her number one concern was making sure that the rings I got was exactly the rings I wanted. She never rushed me and double checked every detail to make sure the end result would be perfect. She even found a ring from her stock that was as similar as possible to my design. My diamond, the similar ring and the best part of an A4 sheet of notes were packaged together to give to the craftsman who was to set the diamond. I requested that I have the rings before a certain special date that was not to far in the future. The finished ring was ready before the specified date and was 100% exactly as I had specified. I cannot recommend Vogue Diamond more highly, the customer service was exemplary. By the way...she said yes.

We returned the ring and they said the ring had been mistreated (it hadn't) and they refused to pay for repair or replacement. In the end we had no choice but to issue court proceedings which the jewellers defended all the way. Lesson learned - they were very helpful and nice at the point of sale, but the moment things started to go wrong the customer service was non existent. While we got all the money back in the end, it took a long time and a lot of effort. There are LOADS of jewellers in The Lanes in Brighton, so if you avoid this one you'll still have lots of choice.

Lucy talked us through all of the options of which metals and which ring shapes there were, which was really helpful, as neither of us really wear much jewellry. We settled on palladium rings for both of us, with one being given a hammered effect, and the other being engraved on the outside. The engraved ring was for me, but I was unsure of the pattern to have. Lucy showed me previous examples of engraved rings, but I ended up submitting my own design. This was then engraved onto a sample ring by the local metal engraver, who this shop uses. Once I was happy with the final look, my actual ring was engraved. The rings are both gorgeous, and really good quality. The price was also very good. I'm so happy that we chose this jewellers for our wedding rings, as I know that twenty years down the line, the rings will look as good as they do now. Huge thanks to everyone at Number Ten, Brighton!!!!

I got the impression that it wasn't any trouble to contact them and they were more than happy to help. We had trawled high street jewellers but had not found the design we liked anywhere. Placed the order with WRD just before Christmas and received in January Considering the Jewellery industry kind of shuts down over Christmas the speed of which they completed the order was great. So the day we received the rings was quite nerve racking - we had only seen the pictures on the website and what the gentleman had described over the phone. We opened the package and the rings were both placed in this beautiful red wooden presentation box next to each other. They were perfect! The craftsmanship was second to none. Both fit perfectly (we spent about two weeks just opening the box every now and then to contain excitement)- can't wait till the day now when we can wear them everyday - I'm gutted we didn't get them engraved now as I'm sure this would have been fine. Thanks Wedding Rings Direct and will be ordering from you again Kind Regards Rob and Kirsty
We are getting married in the summer, so starting looking for wedding rings at the start of the…read moreyear as we didn't really have an idea of how long they took to deliver. After searching around shops and websites, we decided to go for Wedding Rings Direct for several reasons, the range, the options, the price, the service and the delivery and I have been very happy with all of them. The range is varied and wide, in price, materials, style, types, sizes, etc. I had never considered there could be such a wide range of wedding ring types and it really got me thinking about different styles. However being a bit of a traditionalist with wedding rings we decided to just go for plain 18 carrot yellow gold rings with a standard court profile for me and a flat profile for the fiancées. The half size availability was useful as I found out that I require one. The option to try a trial ring was useful. I have never worn a ring before and this helped me in several ways. It helped to get the right size, the half size previously mentioned. My father lost his original ring after swimming in the sea (cold fingers shrink). I therefore put my hand in a sink of cold water, found the trial ring size too large and so got a half size smaller for the final ring. It defined the profile I found comfortable as the double comfort I tried wasn't! It is something that will be worn for the rest of your life and so the small expense of the trial ring is a very useful cost and with the return postage envelope already paid for, an easy process. The price is reasonable. I am sure there are other stores out there that provide cheaper rings, but in combination with the other reasons for selection, I was very happy with the costs. The service is very good with response to any emails being answered in a day. Email notifications were provided at the correct time for the status of the order. Delivery seemed quick, although I have no idea of how long rings normally take to be delivered. After thinking they would take a long time and we may be rushing to get them delivered, I am happy that they were delivered in plenty of time and are one thing less to worry about

My boyfriend, his sister and I were walking around the lanes of Brighton when we happened upon the charming storefront of Regents. All of the rings here were in marvelous condition and spectacularly displayed! The woman inside was fabulous and very patient, especially when the boyfriend insisted I try the ring and the moment of shock/terror that followed. She checked to see if the ring fit properly and it did! I could not believe the ring fit so well! The woman also guaranteed a resize if I ever needed it. I am very impressed with this store and am so happy that it made a special day even brighter in Brighton!
