We have purchased cakes for special occasions here and they are wonderfully delicious and artistic! Another curious delight is their pizza bread. This is a Quebec specialty and theirs has a tad more garlic flavour but is richer in flavour than some other places. Everything I've had here is tasty. Really fresh and delish. I definitely will come back to test a sandwich. Good sandwich shops are hard to come by in Terrebonne- Mascouche so I'm looking forward to testing it out. The owners are a couple French Canadian-Italian and you can definitely see the pride they take in preparing high quality food.

So one Saturday afternoon we took a drive up to Laval. When we walked in we were in cheesecake heaven. I wish i could have tried anything i wanted but they only had 3 kinds in the freezer available, i took one of each and was absolutely delighted. The texture is nice and light almost that of a whipped cheesecake. I did find out you can call ahead 48 hrs to place a custom order which i definitely plan on doing as their Crème brûlée and Bailey's cheesecakes were screaming my name. They have about 30 kinds and 15 were available on display. I most definitely recommend the detour!!!

The baguette was overwhelming for the amount of filling and not the tastiest. Rather disappointing and I thought pretty expensive at $17 Canadian. But it came with soup and salad (no way to order just the sandwich). We liked the soup though, a pureed squash with apple, assertively peppered. Salad? Lol no it was 3 cucumber slices each with a 1/2 cherry tomato on top! In retrospect I should have got one of the hot sandwiches, such as the Croque Monsieur, which looked good on another diner's plate. I liked the selection of soft drinks, and found an interesting fruity soda from a local company. While waiting for our food (order at the counter and they deliver it to the table) and after finishing we perused the grocery. An amazing assortment of gourmet items. I bought two hot sauces that I can't wait to try (didn't get the one made from ants though!) and some tinned smoked fish. Many of the items seemed insanely expensive though. The beer selection was truly impressive; wish I liked beer. Then on to the greenhouse. An amazing variety of plants of all kinds: cactus, ferns, carnivorous, much more. New & Trendy A few…read morelocal friends recommended I stop and try Mr Puffs while on vacation in Trois Rivières. Apparently, they're the new thing, and I was not disappointed. They have a wide array of flavors for all taste preferences. We ordered a 12 pack with 2 flavors: Choco Loco & Sucre a Crème with an extra syringe of sucre a creme. If you do not like sweet do not order those flavors, they are very sweet but perfect for our taste. Our puffs were made to order, and were very fresh. The syringe was fun to use, but may not have been necessary considering how much the puffs were already smothered in the sucre a crème topping. Staff were friendly, and patient while waiting for us to choose our flavors. They do not speak English, but that's normal for this area.

My mother-in-law, used to live in NDG before moving to St Hilaire, would drive all the way up to this place for her Christmas bûche. It is good stuff people. I am a chocolate fanatic and i always eat too much bûche lol!! I am so doomed now that i live about 3 minutes (25 minutes walk) away from la Cabosse d'Or. Their pastries, ice cream, gelato, truffles and all chocolate related items are quite delicious! If you want, you can also enjoy dessert with a coffee or even a hot chocolate in their café side. During summertime, they have a terrace and a mini-put for you to enjoy. There is also a MINI museum that you can visit for free. But be warned when i say mini because it really is. Fantastic!
