So it felt like the oil was not hot enough. But the calamari itself was tasty and tender. So it seems like it was just badly executed. Then our main meals arrived. The lobster in my sandwich was shredded and had a pinkish colour. It had a slightly pasty texture. It also did not look like the image that showed large chunks of lobster. My client tasted his ravioli and said it tasted off. When checking the filling it was pink also. I'm just guessing, but it almost looks like they cut the filling with salmon. That would explain the colour and fishy / salmone taste both our dishes have. We mentionned it to our server, but she is convinced that it is pure lobster. My client worked in restaurant kitchens for years, and I have a pretty good palette. We were not going to argue with the server, but we do not feel like we got what we paid for. To bad, I used to like Baton Rouge.
