As good as it gets for an LL Bean Outlet. Do they have everything and in every size and color? Of course not, it's an outlet - that's the deal with outlets. Do they have a LOT? Yes, they do. A quick stop here in this large store that was chock full of L.L. Bean's shifts, jackets, boots and snow shoes. Outdoorsy AF. I had a good look at the boots which are definitely the usual Bean quality and the prices, even with the 30-50% markdown, was more than I really wanted to pay today. Now, the locals or MA neighbors like me will remember that this is a re-located store. This LL Bean outlet used to be in the Daniel Webster Highway Mall/Plaza which was down the road from the Phesant Lane Mall. This newer location is nice but lacks the convenience of being nearby the large shopping malls on Daniel Webster Highway. Deals are harder to come by here for some reason at this location. I preferred the older location with better bargains. This is a great place. Most items have been returned from other stores. Some have been used, but are cleaned and repaired. You can see why the item is in the store on the label ( I.e. "Returned"). The weekend we went most items were an additional 20% off with a lot of clearance items prices at 50% off! Plus, no tax in NH. (We're coming from Boston). Minus one star due to having to really hunt for the sizes you need...and not having many women's shoes under a size 6. I only found on pair in a size 5, and bought them. read more

I needed some winter clothes and emailed L L Bean asking are the fitting rooms open at the Nashua store. Tricia responded assuring me they were. I drive 45 minutes to the store and find out this is a lie. I don't know if she thought after getting there I wouldn't want the trip to be for nothing and would buy merchandise anyway, but that is stupid on her part, because there is a Kohls in the same plaza. I had called Kohls before my trip and they were honest and said the fitting rooms are closed, but I improvised and tried clothes on over the clothes I was wearing and in one instance partially disrobed. The moral of the story is honesty is always the best policy. read more

While I acknowledge that, like the other reviewers mentioned, it can be difficult to find exactly what you're looking for here, there's a good chance that what you're looking for *is* indeed there, and you just need to find it. For me, it's usually sheets. I'm a super snob when it comes to sheets, and LL Bean sheets never disappoint me. I just got ordered a new (bigger) bed, so I needed new sheets. I called them in the morning, they found the sheets in the size I wanted (after a lot of checking the stock room, waiting on the phone, etc - but I'm totally ok with that). I drove up there to get them, and basically got them for half off. They last so long and wear so well that it's totally worth it to me to do that. I've been to many LL Bean outlets, but this location is among my favorites. The customer service is usually great, and you get the same high-quality stuff that is available from the catalog, with the same warranty, at a fraction of the price. read more

I am not a huge LL bean fan but I did like this location. I was in need of a pair of rain boots and found them with ease here. The prices were reasonable which I was very excited about. All LL Bean outlet stores have dropped in quality in the last few months in my opinion. They moved all merchandise up to full price and they now post signs saying for instance "25% Off." There are no bargains anymore. The shelves and racks are filled with last year's merchandise and things that did not sell well on their website or in Freeport. We stopped in the Concord, NH store yesterday and it was the same. I still love LL Bean but I believe I will just order from the web from now on. read more

I came here to buy some bean boots. The selection is mixed, depends on your size and what you are looking for. Most of the boots are returned items but looked new to me, except they are not in boxes and about half of the boots are missing the laces. I have had pretty good luck at this store the last 4 years. I have found a lot of jackets as there's just fit me the best of any brand. Also pima cotton shirts and occasionally some clothes for the kids or grandkids. I have also picked up canvas bags, sunglasses, bedding & boots. It's a decent selection and well laid out. The prices are still a bit high but the quality is worth it. The folks that work there are always pleasant and helpful. I try to go and check it out about once every 6 weeks since I live 30 minutes away. I am not sure if they have re-opened since Covid- but hopefully soon!!! read more

Who doesn't love an outlet store but then it being an LL Bean makes it perfect!!! I'm glad I don't live to close to this place because I would spend some serious cash here. Great assortment of their products from kayaks to clothing and everything in between. The prices are actual outlet prices unlike some places you go to that are just called an "outlet". I stopped by on my way back to Boston after camping nearby. I had worn my brand new LL Bean duck boots camping that weekend (like advertisements suggested was a good use for them) and I was disappointed to learn that sitting even remotely close to the fire was sufficient to MELT the soles of said boots (my husband's Nike shoes did not melt and we were sitting in the exact same position... I wasn't sitting IN the fire for goodness sake!). I had honestly explained what had happened to a very nice young man and he explained that I could return the boots and purchase a new pair. Wonderful, A+ for customer service! As I was showing him my original receipt of purchase, another customer service rep, Linda, inquired why I was returning the boots and I gave her the same explanation I told the young man. She very rudely says that they don't accept returns based on negligence and this was my fault and there is nothing they can do- [no matter that there was no warning on the box that these shoes melt if used for the intended purpose], I'm out of luck and out of $135, but don't worry, I can buy a new pair for 40% off here! I explained to her that I was not interested in buying yet another pair given the apparently poor quality and she proceeded with a retort that the boots are incredible quality and she has had hers for years without issue [congrats Linda! You clearly aren't much of a camper... I'm glad they worked out for you. I have concrete evidence that they did NOT work out for me and I chalk that up to quality. If there had been warning that these melt, maybe I wouldn't have worn them camping!]. In any case, she made me feel pretty miserable, so I finished purchasing my socks and left. This was just one experience and I'm sure there are plenty of great employees at this outlet (the young man was very nice) but you should never make a customer feel bad, it added insult to injury as I was already feeling really bummed about the boots. read more

As a Wal Mart gal, I got sticker shock from flip flops that go for $100! THey were not chinsey and nice, but still...it was awakening nonetheless. Upon exchanging my online purchase for the correct shoe size it was for a discounted amount and they had cheap summer flip flips that made up the difference in price so I got a twofer. I love this outlet store! Fortunately, it's only about 20 minutes away, so I can stop in every once-in-a-while. If there is something I want from LL Bean, I usually check the outlet a couple of times before paying full price. I've gotten everything from socks to an outdoor wrought iron table. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they never question the many times I've taken clothes home for the family to try on, and days later brought back things that didn't fit. I've wanted a Thule bike rack, and always take a look, since it isn't something I urgently need, and is seldom in stock. I rarely buy items off of the LLBean website & I can't remember the last time I was in an LLBean store. Nothing against LLBean per se, I just prefer better quality items elsewhere (Patigonia web specials or good deals on good brands off of the Sierra Trading Post website). I went in looking for one specific kind of shoe & didn't find it here. They did have some great deals on what I saw, however, & the quality seemed good, just nothing "for me". The store did seem a tad messy but it was the 3rd day of a 3-day weekend sale so I'm sure that had something to do with it. I might come back here if I just happened to be in the area before trekking all of the way down to EMS but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Was traveling in New England, from the west coast. Decided to check out LL Bean (main Freeport stores, not the outlets) since we were in the area, and had mail ordered for years. We were absolutely astounded at the size and overall quality of the operation. Multiple large, well-kept buildings operating 24/7 housed the various items seen in the catalogs, plus so much more. We could have spent many more hours there than we did; had to get back down to Boston area. I'm only rating a four-star, as we spent very little there, and it was not enough to accurately grade. I think people forget that is a LL Bean Outlet not a LL Bean store, so yes they might not have the exact color you are looking for but they have a lot of items at this store and at the price they are marked down to you can't beat it! The customer service at this location is great-I had a cashier named Tim and he truly went out of his way and explained to me how their LL Bean visa card works, I was buying two hats that were completely the same except the colors and one of the hats had a lower price than the other hat did, and he priced matched them for me.
