The best thing this nightclub has to offer is being open on Wednesdays. Since this is considered…read morethe best day, you could experience the horrible sensation of being ignored by the chain crew while trying to get in. Here are some observations about this "selective" system that has been used since immemorial times in the Mexican night scene. The procedure demands you to know the name of the main chain dude, in this case "Chepe" ( he most be 100 years by now... He's been a chain man 4ever). Don't look desperate, don't go with a group of only guys, try to book a table, wear fancy clothes, only hot girls will pass immediately, be prepared to be scanned by want to be cool people. Once inside the decoration has chandeliers, a 70s style dance floor, 3 bars in different areas, really good lighting, and a couple of good Djs. The last Dj was terrible, he was kind of good looking, with cero skills to make people dance. Playing argentinian music that late at night just made us go home. It's not a cheap place; a Chivas with soda and a Capitan Morgan with cola was around $500 with tip.

Visited here last night (Wed. night, although it was after midnight, so technically Thurs, but I…read moredigress) after searching for some fun on Wed in CDMX. Apparently M-W are slow days, unless it's a holiday, but this club is the exception to that rule- the rest of the city was far quieter than the weekend prior (which was a holiday weekend for Benito Juarez's bday). Went to check it out with my bf in hopes of finding some good music to dance to, decent drinks, and a lively atmosphere. This was not your run-of-the-mill establishment, by far. If you are unaware, prostitution is legal in CDMX, and is rampant, but was never so apparent to me as it was at this club. It is located in Polanco, which is the high-end area of town with an uptown air to it, and the individuals that were attending this club represented that. We arrived around 00:45, and got past the first bouncer and the group waiting outside thanks to my ridiculously short skintight dress and thigh-high boots to the second bouncer inside. Cover is 350 pesos for guys ($17ish US) and girls are free. We got in after paying the cover, and the place was packed. It was overtly obvious after entering that many of the ladies there were working, or at least trying to find a customer, and there was a plethora of men searching for the right one, all well dressed, beautiful people-very high-end. It was an interesting crowd, for sure. Had a couple of drinks, a vodka soda and a 100 proof rum and diet, and each was around $7 US. The girls were thirsty and were hunting my bf whenever I was not around- so be aware if you're going with a significant other. Average age early 20s-late 30s. The music was great with a 70s style disco lighted dance floor. This is a smoking friendly establishment and you have to be conscious of others potentially burning you with their cigarettes. I danced my ass off, and it was fabulous. Kept getting checked out by the meat market bros who didn't realize I'm not on the market, but it's no big deal. Overall, I had a great time. People were still arriving as we left at after 3 am. I recommend it for great music, great people watching, and dancing. If I return to CDMX, I'll be back.

Loved my experience dining here during the World Cup!…read more Azul was recommended by one of my colleagues from Mexico City and had great reviews, I decided to stop by since I stayed nearby. I came on a weekday and was seated very quickly. My lovely waiter explained the menu and highlighted some popular items. I ordered the guacamole, tortilla soup, duck dumpling mole, and tres leches for dessert. Everything was phenomenal, and the guac was out of this world! I enjoyed the presentation and the decor in the restaurant, I'd love to come back!

During a family trip to Mexico City, one of the places I was most excited to visit was Azul Histórico. I live in New York, and I had been looking forward to enjoying authentic Mexican chile rellenos at such a renowned restaurant. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. The colonial courtyard creates a magical atmosphere, and the service was excellent from the moment we arrived. I also have to mention that the drinks were delicious and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, the chile rellenos didn't meet our expectations. My mom and I both ordered them, and we agreed that they were served quite cold and didn't taste fresh. The staff kindly offered to replace our meals, which we truly appreciated, but I decided not to. Instead, I ended up eating some of my daughter's meal since I knew she wouldn't finish it. Thankfully, the rest of my family had a wonderful dining experience. My dad, my husband, and my daughter all loved their meals and were very happy with what they ordered. We finished the evening with desserts, coffee, and hot chocolate, and everything was absolutely delicious. Overall, Azul Histórico offers a stunning setting and outstanding service. While my entrée wasn't what I had hoped for, the rest of the meal and the time spent with my family made it a memorable experience. I'd gladly return to try other dishes from the menu.
