If you are unaware, prostitution is legal in CDMX, and is rampant, but was never so apparent to me as it was at this club. It is located in Polanco, which is the high-end area of town with an uptown air to it, and the individuals that were attending this club represented that. We arrived around 00:45, and got past the first bouncer and the group waiting outside thanks to my ridiculously short skintight dress and thigh-high boots to the second bouncer inside. Cover is 350 pesos for guys ($17ish US) and girls are free. We got in after paying the cover, and the place was packed. It was overtly obvious after entering that many of the ladies there were working, or at least trying to find a customer, and there was a plethora of men searching for the right one, all well dressed, beautiful people-very high-end. It was an interesting crowd, for sure. Had a couple of drinks, a vodka soda and a 100 proof rum and diet, and each was around $7 US. The girls were thirsty and were hunting my bf whenever I was not around- so be aware if you're going with a significant other. Average age early 20s-late 30s. The music was great with a 70s style disco lighted dance floor. This is a smoking friendly establishment and you have to be conscious of others potentially burning you with their cigarettes. I danced my ass off, and it was fabulous. Kept getting checked out by the meat market bros who didn't realize I'm not on the market, but it's no big deal. Overall, I had a great time. People were still arriving as we left at after 3 am. I recommend it for great music, great people watching, and dancing. If I return to CDMX, I'll be back.

I came on a weekday and was seated very quickly. My lovely waiter explained the menu and highlighted some popular items. I live in New York, and I had been looking forward to enjoying authentic Mexican chile rellenos at such a renowned restaurant. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. The colonial courtyard creates a magical atmosphere, and the service was excellent from the moment we arrived. I also have to mention that the drinks were delicious and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, the chile rellenos didn't meet our expectations. My mom and I both ordered them, and we agreed that they were served quite cold and didn't taste fresh. The staff kindly offered to replace our meals, which we truly appreciated, but I decided not to. Instead, I ended up eating some of my daughter's meal since I knew she wouldn't finish it. Thankfully, the rest of my family had a wonderful dining experience. My dad, my husband, and my daughter all loved their meals and were very happy with what they ordered. We finished the evening with desserts, coffee, and hot chocolate, and everything was absolutely delicious. Overall, Azul Histórico offers a stunning setting and outstanding service. No frills, all quality and wholesomeness. The walls are coated with murals and hilarious graffiti with confessions like "Call me (number here)" and "Ama Mexico." My friend and I were the only ones on an early afternoon and we went with the flavored pulque. They did offer the original, but we did the guayaba and passiflora. Both were tasty. Loved meeting one of the pulque-tenders and he explained to us the process of making pulque regarding fermentation and the use of the "heart" of the maguey. SO rad. Plus the pulque is much less alcohol content, so it's a great digestive. The power of maguey! Phew! Highly recommend checking these guys out. Grab a few friends, as the tables can fit comfortable a group of four. The tables felt like church pews, but it creates a cozy and intimate space.
