I love coming here for the salsa classes earlier in the night. They're a little fast paced for beginners and watch out if you don't speak Spanish but for me? Amazing! It's a decently large class filled with lots of different people so it's easy to make friends with others and laugh along the way. After the class the band is ALWAYS amazing. Tons of people drinking, eating, and dancing. If you're a girl, be prepared to get asked to dance by a host of different fellas. Fun if you are HERE to dance salsa all night, but not really for much else. Cover is a little steep for what you get, and seating is extremely limited - be prepared to be shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers the whole night. Food and drinks are priced pretty typically for Roma, so nothing crazy there. The crowd is mostly regulars who just come to dance. When I went there were no dance classes or instructors, so if you're a beginner expecting a lesson, don't count on it. If you love salsa and want to dance non-stop, you'll have a great time. If you want to sit, chat, and have drinks, this probably isn't the spot for you. read more

This place is so fun! I visited on a recent trip to Mexico City and needed to stop here. If you enjoy salsa dancing, this place is a definite must visit. They have a live band and I was surprised at how packed the place was when we got there and it was only about 10pm. It got more and more crowded as the night went on. If you don't salsa dance yourself, you could just watch the band and all the people dancing, but may have a hard time finding a seat because of how packed this place gets! read more

Was visiting CDMX from Tues-Sat and wanted to go out on Wednesday night so we found this spot. My friend and I are avid social dancers and try to always find a good/more local spot whenever we travel. There was a great live band. Good quantity of intermediate dancers that asked us to dance at random, which we're use to. Cover was only 50 pesos (~$2.50) for the females. Drinks/bar service was good to! Beer is very cheap. My friend and i spent about $20 for 2 top shelf drinks that would be $35+ in the states. The only "con" would be that it's a smaller venue/dance floor, but we kind of prefer this type of place. I would really recommend and my friend and i regretted not going back Friday night since everyone told us it was popular then to. Instead we tried mambo cafe, which was okay but a lot more club/table service and not really our style. read more

It's a hopping club that holds a swift 1-2 hour class by this amazingly petite and thunderous woman who can salsa anyone under the table. She's so good and convincing that she makes you feel like you can dance too... for a moment. After the intro the class moves upstairs for a round robin for about 45mins. By 11 the club is swinging with couples and a live band. If your not dancing or trying to you'd feel a bit out of place. Lively and crowded with so-do drinks. SCAM ALERT!! CHECK YOUR BILL EVERY TIME!! They knew I am not from here since I didn't speak Spanish. So the guy who is in charge of taking drink order and give you your bill decided to charge me 6 TIMES THE AMOUNT I SHOULD PAY (after being super friendly to me and calling me his friend). Fortunately I glanced at the bill and realized by no way my order was that much since I only had 1 non-alcoholic drink. The guy replied with a series of lies in this order: 1- He went ahead and lied to me that the bill is correct and it's for 2 alcoholic drinks. I said "No, false, I am allergic and do not drink alcohol, and hence I'm also not drunk, I can also count, and too bad for you I know I had 1 drink" 2- Then he switched strategy and said "Oh so the bill is for you and your friend" My reply "No, we have separate bills. Also she does not drink enough to bring the total up to this" 3- He left pretended to get money from my friend, but came back with some cash which did not make up the difference. So I wasted another 5 mins telling him this is not ok, I won't tolerate your dishonesty which is shameful to the nice Mexican people I have met during my trip. Whoaaaa! This place was amazing! Definitely recommended if you're wanting to scratch that salsa itch, or just stand at the edges of the crowd and watch the pros spin it. Definitely more on the pricier side due to the location, but wow what an experience! I went with a group of foreigners, so we were charged $100 each for entry, and drinks were around $85-100. I think this place deserved a four star rating! They have a nice live band that was playing for the rest of the night and cover charge wasn't that bad. Having a big group, finding a table and seat wasn't that bad. Ordering drinks was fast and quick! Servers keep on checking if everyone is good and drinks are all good! The live band is very good and watching everyone dance with there tune was amazing. All clients are happy and everyone is dancing. The only issue I have is the space for dancing salsa. There was not enough space for everyone however, it seems that it wasn't an issue for everyone as they all still dance with the tune. Prizes wasn't bad either! This place was awesome! So much fun if you enjoy salsa dancing or just watching great dancers. And they had an excellent live band the night we were there (a Thursday). We tried to dance with the locals and had a great time, even though we are definitely not on their level! And we mostly know how to dance in the "on 1" style and think they may be dancing "on 2" (or maybe it's the other way around!). This is an absolutely fabulous dance club in La Condesa. Live music and outrageously good dancers. It was so fun to be on the floor all night but there is space to sit and sip a drink too if that's your thing. A must go if you are trying to go out dancing & feel the salsa vibes. read more
