It's quiet, people are respectful and some even friendly. Though I don't ever look forward to doing laundry, getting it done at this location makes it easy.

There is never any staff or management to refund lost money and they don't even bother putting signs on broken machines. I have even had issues with the one and only change machine that they have there. The dryers are too cold to dry clothes properly so even after over an hour and several dollars later, one load of laundry is still damp and full of wrinkles. They do have a restroom on site, but it is in the basement. I have only used the restroom once and the wall was smeared with what looked like human excrement. This mat is generally dirty and filled with shady characters.

(Before Covid) people would be sitting at large tables using a laptop or Tablet as they waited. Now, with serious Covid Variants arriving, the atmosphere has changed to 100% business- Once your laundry is in a washer, you are asked to leave - typically for the wash cycle to finish - 30 to 45 minutes depending on the machine. This really helps social distancing, since, like all laundromats, the machines are all beside each other. Note that the pre-wash cycle at the beginning of each wash, is always cold water- if you check the start of the wash, it will always be cold- on the actual "Wash" cycle, the temperature is what setting you choose - people mistake the pre-wash rinse temperature as the wash temperature! All the machines are front -loading stainless steel, so that there is no center agitator at all- your washing just gently tumbles, so that clothing is never pulled or stressed as in typical home washing machines. - the wide screen TV is turned off- again because of Covid, and the wonderful Health Food machine is off and empty - another casualty of Covid, since you do not want people sitting around eating food! - Social Distancing is taken very seriously , so be prepared to go out during the wash cycle - you can get a coffee at starbucks across parking, and there are a few fast food places to get munchies to take to your car. Amina, the attendant is, as always, scurrying around to keep everyone happy, moving ahead in their task, and making sure social distancing is optimized- The Covid changes make Maple 100% business- not anywhere near the relaxing place it was in 1 B.C. ! -- but, lets face it - the whole point is to do laundry! - highly recommended- I will continue to use this service. - I can hardly wait for the relaxing atmosphere to return to normal , once Covid is under control! It took a week or so, with a somewhat reassuring phone call during the process. Then a call that my coat was ready to pick up. Aside from a very, very clean establishment with machines in top order and offering a variety of services, the business is run by a young man called Ben. Ben is pleasant, efficient, reminds clients of the limits on the number of machines a client can use at one time. He knows the machines and which is the best machine for your laundry. We found him exceptionally helpful. Every change of season we need to go to a laundromat to handle our larger bed linens. This is our second time at Spins and we will return for sure.

Oh, one piece of advice, bring loonies, the machines only accept a loonie and a quarter and the counter doesn't always have change.
