A ballpoint pen leaked into the pocket of my puffy winter coat..there was a LOT of ink. With no promise of success in cleaning up the mess and removing the ink on many other spots, they said they would TRY to clean it. It took a week or so, with a somewhat reassuring phone call during the process. Then a call that my coat was ready to pick up. It was Christmas eve, and a few minutes after closing when I stopped by but staff opened up and handed me my beautifully clean and puffy coat. I went to Market Cleaners to do laundry. It is very close to Andaz hotel. The person who was there was very helpful. He showed me how to load the cash card and how to use the washer and dryer. Bring smaller CAD bills if you go there. Credit card works too, but the minimum amount to load with credit card is $20, and any balance left on the card cannot be refunded. Sasha promptly did his own inquiry to verify and find the root cause of the problem(s), and then he more than made up for the incident and resolved the issue(s). I can't speak for the laundry service since I only went here once for dry cleaning. The cost to dry clean a 2 piece suit drove me away from ever wanting to be a repeat customer. Over $23 to dry clean ONE 2 piece suit. Had I known that was what it was going to cost, I would have just let The Westin do it for $19.95. The only reason I'm at 3 stars are because they didn't mess up the dry cleaning, they allowed for next day pick up, and sadly, their competition seems to be charging around the same. For the record, I live in North Jersey where nothing is cheap. Even there, I only pay $9.50 US for the same service. Will I ever do dry cleaning in Ottawa again? Fuhgettaboutit! read more

Very friendly staff and great customer service! I dropped off a piece of clothing in August and wasn't completely satisfied with its clean in December. The staff at Market Cleaners took the piece of clothing back, without arguing with me or getting frustrated with the delay, and fixed it up great! They even completed the service for free. I walked there with my dirty laundry three times in the last three days. Each time I had to turn around and walk home because they were either closed or there were no machines available. They were closed at 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon. Isn't this a laundromat?? What kind of hours are they? I have used this laundromat for the last three years, and every time I walk there, I feel like I am taking my chances by lugging my heavy bag of dirty laundry. If you live in the Market and have a vehicle, your best bet is to load up your car and bring your laundry somewhere else. Bringing your clothes here for regular laundry is ALWAYS a crapshoot. The staff are always very friendly and respectful, but the laundromat itself is very unreliable. Not sure how their dry cleaning services are, but as a laundromat it is pretty damn awful. read more

This is one of the best Laundromats I have ever been to. Some of the machines are out of order from time to time, but I have never had a problem with machine availability there yet. The washers are huge and hold large amounts of clothes and get them extremely clean. They also have the BEST dryers ever, where else can you dry 2 loads of laundry, including a queen sized comforter for $2? Nowhere that I know of, that's for sure. The staff is friendly and happy to help if there are any machine issues. For these reasons, even though I do not drive and I have another mat near by, I always make my way over to this one to do my laundry. read more
