I was hungry and did not want to raise my disappointment because I felt uncomfortable doing so without a strong command of the French language. Our waiter made this experience great. The food also came out quickly and was pretty good. I didnt know what beer I wanted to order so I asked to sample two and they graciously let me sample them. I thought that was awesome and really appreciated that gesture. read more

Food, service, and ambience just ok. High prices not justified by anything special. Food. I asked the server what he recommended. He said it was all good. I got risotto aux fruits de mer. Flavors a little bland, rice a little over-cooked. Seafood was good. Husband got cassoulet. That was much better. Service. Server busy with larger group. Forgot the bread. Hard to find when we were ready to go. Ambience. It was a cold day. We weren't even very close to the door, but every time it opened we were blasted with an arctic chill. Crowded and tables close to each other. Noisy. Not necessarily bad, but need to be in the right mood. Prices much higher than justified by the food. Seems like most people were there for a hamburger. My advice, go there for a beer and burger. For good French brasserie food look elsewhere. read more

We were in Compiègne for one day. We found this place simply by driving by. Ended up with an absolutely wonderful experience! The wait staff are amazing and really enhanced the experience (Olivier and Roma). They spoke English, gave an English menu, and accommodated my need to be gluten free. We also enjoyed lovely cocktails. The mussels & frites are by far the best thing on the menu and they give so much, the pot never ends!! I highly recommend this place and would love to return in the future. read more
