I went with the baklava cold brew and it was among the best I've had in a while. The pistachio flavor really came through without being over powering. Unfortunately I didn't have time to get one of their toasts but those looked very enticing with a great array of options. Pricing was quite reasonable as well with the large being LARGE.

I love that the owner Shannon is often around and all the baristas seem to genuinely care that you are happy with your visit. I'm here usually at least twice a week and I really have to talk myself out of heading in more often. The seasonal lattes are always so delicious. Not too sweet and well thought out flavors. They make their own syrups and truly keep things original. For food I'll go with a bagel or one of their toasts on high fiber bread. I like that both the bagels and bread are from other Rhode Island small businesses. While the space is small the vibes are strong. It really feels like a community there. I usually always see someone I know or have gotten to know from bringing my laptop and working for a bit at The Nook. If you love supporting local, I highly recommend you do so at The Nook!

Ten years is a long time to stay away from a corner table…read more I used to work just down the road from Wild Harvest. Back then, I was there often enough that it became part of my week. You ordered at the counter, found a table, and waited for your name to be called. No table service. No bar. Just good food in a place that felt comfortable the minute you walked in. I left that job ten years ago. Wild Harvest never left East Greenwich. My friend Frank wanted to take me to lunch for my birthday. I knew exactly where I wanted to go. Lauren greeted us at the door. She's been managing the restaurant for a few weeks. I wanted to see how much the place has changed. "Where would you like to sit?" "The corner." A minute later, I was sitting in the same corner where I'd eaten lunch more times than I could count years ago. Wild Harvest still has the log cabin bones that made it stand out when it first opened. Heavy timber walls. Exposed beams overhead. A taxidermy deer wearing red, white, and blue bunting like someone decorated it for the Fourth of July years ago and never got around to taking it down. It still feels warm. Comfortable. Like itself. The changes over the last ten years, though, are hard to miss. What used to be a counter-service café is now a full-service restaurant. There's a real bar. A chalkboard announces dinner from five to eight, seasonal menus that change every week, cocktails, and Friday night flights. The place has grown without losing what made people want to come here in the first place. They don't call it a chicken parm. On the menu it's simply "Parmesan," listed beside the hot meatball as though everyone already knows what it is. The ciabatta is baked in house every day, and it tastes like it. The crust was blistered and lightly floured, toasted enough to push back before giving way to a chewy interior. The provolone had gone beyond melted into something draped over the edge of the cutlet. Underneath, the breading stayed crisp despite a generous layer of sauce. That's usually the first thing a chicken parm gives up. Not this one. The chips deserve a mention, too. They're house-made, fresh-cut, still curled from the fryer, the kind that remind you potato chips are supposed to taste like potatoes. Frank ordered the Mediterranean wrap with Wild Harvest's homemade veggie burger, hummus, romaine, tomato, shredded carrot, cucumber, and tzatziki. His lunch looked responsible. Mine looked like someone having a birthday. Neither of us seemed interested in trading. Frank picked up the check. We thanked Lauren and headed for the door. Ten years is a long time to stay away from a corner table. It's even better when you find out it was worth coming back.

Stopped by Cafe Tempo the other morning for a quick breakfast on the go…read more Grabbed a simple egg & cheese on a toasted whole wheat English muffin, atleast I thought so? They ended up giving my a egg & cheese on A bagel but it was still very good! They don't use a cheap microwaved egg like some places do either. (The croissant is also a good option!) But let's be real here... that's not why I wait 7 cars deep most early mornings in a drive thru line... The cinnamon rolls are the reason. These things just hit every time man. They arnt really anything over the top like a thick cinnamon bun out of your oven or anything like that. They are your simple cinnamon roll with icing on it not frosting but they are just so delicious - easily the standout. (Sometimes they run out!) They're mostly known for their coffee, and you can tell. They have a hoping business and everyone usually leaves with a coffee amongst other options like their bagels or baked goods. Inside is pretty small with very little seating so not the best place to get any work done or hangout. Overall, they are a very busy place and most people put an online order in to beat the crowd. The drive thru service is pretty quick for being busy and also very friendly. If you're going, don't overthink it - get the cinnamon roll.

Nope! none of the above. Instead of cases filled with dainties as one would expect in a bakery, there were maybe a couple dozen (at best) of pastries that made you think of something someone would bring to work for the coffee room. And coffee. Lots and lots of coffee of all kinds and flavors. So, let's call this store what it really is...a coffee shop with a very small assortment of not-so-fancy pastries. Last point: because I did need a small item for a special occasion and didn't have time to make another stop, I caved and purchased a little lemon cake the size of a cupcake. It was $6!! While it was nice and lemony and not too sweet, it was grainy. Needless to say, I won't go back again. However I need to say the people working there are simply lovely. That's the only reason I didn't give a rating of "1".
