    Mexican Rice Bowl

We stopped at La Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion for a quick lunch while at Epcot. The location is fantastic, with outdoor seating right on the water, offering a beautiful view of the World Showcase Lagoon. It's the perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery. My son had the kids' tacos, which came with chicken and a side of corn chips and nacho cheese. It was a good portion for him and a nice, kid-friendly option. I ordered the Arroz Bowl with Marinated Grilled Chicken, which was topped with flavorful pickled onions and served over a generous bed of Mexican rice. It was a satisfying meal, and I especially enjoyed the tangy pop of the pickled onions. Overall, the food was good not the most amazing meal I've ever had at Disney, but it hit the spot for a quick-service lunch. The real star here is the atmosphere. If you're looking for a casual, fast meal with one of the best views in Epcot, La Cantina de San Angel is a great choice.

Subpar food. La Cantina is located inside the EPCOT Disney Park. There was a short line, but it was considerably shorter than other lines. And we found out the reason for that. The food is underwhelming. I ordered the empanadas and they were lacking. They didn't have much cheese inside. It was mostly air filled empanadas. The rice tasted stale. I also ordered churros, and those were equally disappointing. The macaroni and cheese was the only thing worth eating.

Just a great spot within Epcot to get tacos. Who doesn't love tacos? Personally, I loved the location. This spot has a ton of outdoor seating all around it, plus a number of carts while you wait for your food. And if you're lucky, you can grab a seat with a view for all the fireworks.

Although the line was very long, it moved pretty quickly. The menu is fairly limited, but that makes getting food quicker. There is seating both inside and out and even lots of tables for wheelchairs or strollers outside. I settled on the nachos, and got the sour cream and jalapeños on the side. The portion was a nice size, and the chips were good, but there just weren't enough toppings. The cheese was a drizzle, the meat mixture only was on a quarter of the chips and the tomatoes just scattered. I ended up eating a lot of dry chips.

Barbacoa tacos - three street tacos with a side of rice and beans

I enjoyed this quick stop in Epcot with good food and a decent margarita. When i walked up, there were about 10 -15 ahead of me in line, but everything moved very quickly. I placed my order and waited almost 10 minutes for my food. You wait right by the window, so it got a bit crowded right there. I was given my drink quickly, but i would have had to walk off to get a straw, so as it was a crazy hot day, i kept having to drink around the edge to keep the melting mess in check. Once I got my food, I wandered around a while attempting to find a place to sit. People were sprawled out everywhere, and only when a nice man stopped me to tell me there was an indoor area was I able to sit. He said they had wandered as well and thought the door we entered was for cast members only. However, there was plenty of seating inside and I enjoyed the air conditioning and view of the lake. I got the babacoa tacos, and they were packed with meat and flavor. You get a lot more meat than a usual street taco, and it was mouth watering delicious. It comes with a nice sized side of beans and rice, and that was a great addition to the meal. I ended up throwing a lot of the margarita out - it was just too difficult to manage with the paper straws getting clogged up constantly and the rest of it melting away so quickly. I would definitely recommend this affordable little quick stop cantina to solo travelers and families alike.

Easy to find a table during food and wine. Had to find something kid friendly so we decided to eat here. Big mistake. Two adults both ordered the arroz con pollo bowl. Hardly any chicken in it. Not great tasting either and still hungry after our $15+ meals. My son liked his tenders. It was quick.

A quick late evening bite and a good margarita to end of the night... Would highly recommend it when leaving Epcot as you can enjoy the breeze on the mezzanine and call it a night

Ok this has to be my favorite restaurant in Orlando and I loved the food so much. Alfredo was my…read moreserver and he had the best recommendation and I loved it. The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. But this is soo good and I can see why the reviews on yelp are all stellar.

They also have lunch specials, which is nice. Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

The dining space is really nice and open, and it was fun to walk around the resort for a bit after! I enjoyed the breakfast empanadas as a starter, and they were flavorful and great! I'm not sure I got a whole lot of egg and breakfast vibes, but a good empanada is a good empanada. I also enjoyed the traditional breakfast plate, and everything was solid! They have a good breakfast potato, which is a clear sign of quality. My boyfriend enjoyed the Florida salad (one of his go-tos) and the avocado toast, raving for both! The salad really is light and full of great flavor. I enjoyed the guava fizz drink (yum!) but appreciate the option for bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary's. Service was a bit slow at the end, but it was nice to not be rushed out and we didn't have an itinerary, so it all worked out. I'd visit again for sure!

My daughter was able to have food from the kids menu. And my son and I thought we were ready to eat for hours. Who were we kidding. The food is served family style, but the portion is unbelievably huge. Everything tasted amazing. The side salad was actually one of our favorite parts of the meal. The butter for the bread couldve been eaten on its own. The meat was all tender. The fish mightve been the only thing that couldve used some more seasoning. But the pork, chicken, and steak was all so good. We didnt know how we were going to eat dessert, but we did LOL The resort itself is so cozy. I love that it's a family style dinner, meaning all you can eat. The food was so delightful. Latin style food was right up my alley. From start to finish I loved it all and so did my friends. The bread was so good with their guava butter which I had no clue I would like! The platanos! The steak, the cod the rice, I could go on and on everything had so much flavor and was cooked very well. It also doesn't get really loud in here, so it's a more intimate setting, and they did bring a cupcake- and while they didn't sing to me my friends did. I would do recommend to try this place and I would 100% come back!

Therefore, we opted for indoor seating and the delightful air conditioning in today's 97 degree heat. The food was very good. The Jamaican jerk chicken wings are seasoned well. This time, they were slightly dry instead of perfect like last time. The grilled chicken with cilantro-crema, mashed potatoes and corn remains my favorite dish on the menu. Ask for a side of the sauce too; it's that good. The cheeseburger and fries was standard and okay but unremarkable, which means it was perfect for my mom who is a picky eater and not adventurous. Pro-Tip: if you are headed somewhere with a refrigerator, order the full portion of the grilled chicken with cilantro-cream and take one breast and some mashed potatoes home for another meal. The full portion is only $3 more than the light version, but comes with a second piece of chicken breast. Otherwise, save the $3 because one breast is plenty filling. You could also consider sharing the full portion plate to save room (and money) for apps or dessert. We chose the flaming pineapple butter cake for dessert. It arrived piled high with pineapples and vanilla ice cream on the side. When the server lit the sauce then poured it, the flames danced. However, not all the alcohol burns off. The cake was saturated and tasted of alcohol where it was poured. Warning: Check your receipt. We were charged $2.99 for trivia games we did not play and $0.50 extra for cheese when the item ordered was a cheeseburger listed as coming with cheese on the menu for $18.99.
