Food: Both the chicken in the pita and shawarma in the durum were very tender and juicy! The pita itself was good, but not as fluffy as other pitas I've had. The durum was also pretty good although I would have to say that the chicken pita was my favorite - The chicken was simply delicious and with so much flavor! Service: Very attentive and polite staff. Ambiance: It's a smaller place so you may have to wait outside as there's a handful of tables inside. There's no outside seating. Second stop of Barcelona was La Caravana! An amazing Mediterranean place which ended up being Halal after asking the staff. The food is absolutely delicious and I think just might be some of the best Mediterranean I've had. Stopping by for an early dinner Saturday, as I knew that the small space would fill up later, I opted for the chicken and vegetable platter. Complete with rice, hummus, and a salad, and served with a side of fresh pita, everything was delicious- and would have been more than my fill had I not been so hungry! The reviews are true this place is a real gem. Hole in the wall on a very random block but once you find it it's worth it! Older gentlemen who I'm assuming was the owner was super kind and helpful as my Spanish isn't great. Most importantly the food was absolutely delicious I got the chicken kabob wrap w/ a side of fRies- the pita was super soft and clearly homemade - the chicken also very tender and delicious and the fries were hot crispy and on point. I also got a water bottle with all that the total came out to 8 euro it was the best 8 euro I spent my entire trip! I've been in Barcelona for a week and I've eaten all the basic, overpriced things you eat when you go to Barcelona: tapas, paellas, etc. It feels weird to say it, but I actually think this place, that my girlfriend and I went to on a whim at midnight because we hadn't eaten dinner, is my favorite restaurant I've visited in this city. The food was delicious, the portions big, the atmosphere home-y, the service very amicable, and it was all incredibly affordable. I got the combination plate of shawarma and falafel with a glass of beer from the tap and it made me so incredibly happy. Definitely try all the tapas and paellas while you're here, but if at some point you get a bit tired of it and want a change of pace, I highly recommend hitting up this hidden gem. read more
