Absolutely loved this place. I think this was one of the best and spot on services I had in Spain. The owners are brothers and are both deaf, but thag was not an impediment at all. They were extremely nice and were extremely tentative. They ran a great atmosphere with music, cultural decor and significant other said it was best hookah ever had. The drinks were top notch and it was such a great time. It was a great find and honestly the best service we found in Barcelona. Highly recommend this place for everything! Overall it was amazing, can't wait to come back when in Barcelona.

Sooo cool! Such a nice place to hang out. The vibe was so cozy and peaceful away from the busy city but yet so close to the center. Staff communicates with sign language proof that you don't always need words to give good service! Will totally come back. Must visit when in town for some chill time

Anything good I say about this place will not suffice. This place is deaf friendly, almost all of the staff hear are deaf, a lot of their patrons are deaf and one of the owners is deaf too. Its so great to see an establishment that is socially aware and works towards a cause. Their disability does not get in the way of their service at all, which is fantastic. The Hookah and drinks here are great! (Try the summer sangria). But the ambience is what won me over the most! They fancy couches and swings!! Has to be the fanciest hookah place I have ever been to. Love it!

3 dip. Baba ganoush is amazing!

Discovered this wonderful place on a trip to Barcelona. It's all about the small details here and during my 5 day trip, I came back twice. The food is excellent. The hookah very good. The staff is kind and friendly. If I lived here, I would be a regular. Thank you to Ziryab for making my visit to Spain memorable.

This place is incredible. One of the owner and all the staff are either fully deaf or are hard of hearing. We were happy to support an establishment that supports such a good cause and empowers deaf individuals. The atmosphere here is wonderful and they offer a small tapas menu along with sheesha and great drinks!! If you want a full dinner/restaurant meal, they have a sister restaurant across the street. The service was impeccable and we really enjoyed our time here. I got the red wine sangria, my husband got the gin with olives and my brother in law got the cardhu 15 year old scotch and the drinks were magnificent. We also got the potato bravas cooked in seven different spicy with a side of minty yogurt dressing and it was very delicious. I highly recommend this place.

We loved this place so much we went twice during our 3 night stay in Barcelona. Compared to prices in the states the shisha is a little on the high but totally worth it. The staff was super friend and helpful, I got to use my sign language skills while there. LOVE IT

Great service, one of the owners was here and chatted with us. It's snug but with good company and great hookah what more do you want? Definitely recommend, not many tourists and a great feel. I will be back tomorrow.

This tiny and cozy spot was super super fun. The hookah was awesome. What I enjoyed most was the decor and the vibe. It's super intimate and and very nice place to just hang with good friends. There are board games to play and the tight quarters make for making new friends. This place is a must after dinner drinks and shisha..

We were warmly greeted, although there was a bit of a language/cultural barrier at times. The interior is extravagantly decorated with tapestries and cushioned seating. Several hookas were available, and I found the couple smoking a ways away were not bothersome at all. We decided on ordering the big '2 person' platter with a sample of nearly everything on the menu. It was gigantic and had mover a dozen different dishes. There was hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, dolmas, various meats, flat bread and rice. Each was very flavorful, carefully prepared and disappeared quickly. Although there were three of us, we hit a wall and could not finish off the platter. It did take some time to come out, maybe 45 minutes, but it was apparent why when it came out. The price was reasonable for the amount of food, but more than I am used to in Spain. Drop in to Reem al Bawadi for a flavorful bite from the near east.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.
