We found this little ice cream shop in the Haymarket district in Lincoln NE! Perfect timing with the weather being 100+ degreed F! They offer 24 flavors of ice crean and sorbets; including options for vegans... I got two scoops of ice cream in a bowl. One scoop of the Jacked Up Tennessee Toffee and one scoop of Rush Hour! The ice cream nachos looked kind of fun. Staff was personable and friendly! Pricing of the Ashby's ice cream seems a little high compared to Baskin Robbins, etc... The ice cream also comes scooped in fun square shapes, and they have lots of flavors to choose from! When we went we shared an ice cream flight that came with 2 scoops of 4 flavors (8 scoops total). The flavors we chose were sea turtle, Superman, gold rush, and cookie dough. All of them were delicious, but I want to try the banana pudding and play doh flavors next time. The layout of the shop is a little awkward, and the area where you order is a little small - and there was a sign on the door asking each party to wait outside until a scooper waves you in. Both restrooms were out of order when we were there, but there were some video games for my kids to play while I chatted and finished my ice cream. Overall we had a great time and it's one of my kids favorite ice cream spots in town so we will definitely be back!

The amount of dirty gum, cigarette butts, trash and scary characters on the sidewalk and in front of the buildings is unfortunate and depressing. We still go though. It would be lovely if all of this could be cleaned and improved upon. Several of the businesses are quite nice to have in Lincoln but they are dotted with less than desirable business. There is a large trash can out front of the building on the corner but they don't really get used enough by the public. The landscaping on this block at one time was beautiful but it too is looking rougher by the year.
