The bar tender was the sweetest and helped me find a new beer to try. They have a huge selection so it's hard to choose. The pizza is amazing. They have a huge selection of toppings to choose from. It's a perfectly cooked thin crust. One piece was enough to fill me up. The inside of this place is really relaxing. Hopefully locals already know about this gem, but for those visiting don't miss it. Unfortunately there is a lot of street construction right now. Don't let it stop you from coming in.

The woman working was incredibly friendly and attentive, which immediately set a great tone. My husband and kids ordered pizza, and I went with a baked potato loaded with the same toppings as their Mediterranean slice. So good!! The pizzas were thin and crispy, exactly how I like them. They even cut the kids' slices into small pieces, which I thought was absolutely genius. Honestly, how is this the first time I've seen that? Our food came with freshly baked bread that was delicious. And really, who can say no to carbs on carbs? They also have a full beer selection, plus a pool table and foosball, which kept the kids entertained while we ate. Yia Yia's is probably my new favorite pizza place. We live in Omaha, but I would absolutely drive to Lincoln just for this pizza. Delicious food, great service, and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

For many years, The Eatery has been a fixture in east-central Lincoln. I'd heard plenty of positive…read morecomments about the restaurant over the years, so I finally decided to stop in for lunch and see what it was all about. Unfortunately, the first impression could use some improvement. Upon entering, guests step into a small lobby with two interior doors--one designated as the entrance and the other as the exit. Once inside, a host greets you, hands you a menu, and escorts you to your table. Along the way, you pass the restaurant's salad bar, which should serve as an inviting showcase of the food offered inside. Instead, the salad bar was the low point of my visit. On the day I was there, it appeared messy and poorly maintained. A salad bar requires constant attention to keep it looking fresh, attractive, and clean, and that simply wasn't the case during my visit. Given its prominent location, it creates an impression that management should work harder to improve. The Eatery's menu, however, is extensive and impressive. There's truly something for everyone. The unlimited salad bar is priced at $14.99, or $7.99 when added to an entrée. Based on what I observed, that seemed a bit steep, so I decided to pass. Instead, I ordered the Smokey Chicken Stacker with fries on the recommendation of my server. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The sandwich was flavorful, the fries were perfectly prepared, and the meal arrived at my table less than ten minutes after ordering--a testament to an efficient kitchen. Overall, I came away believing that The Eatery serves solid food, but the décor, atmosphere, and overall layout feel somewhat dated and uninspiring. The appearance of the salad bar was the biggest negative of the experience for me. Would I return? If I lived or worked in the neighborhood, probably yes. However, since I don't, it's unlikely that I would make a special trip back.

Naughty Buddha Burger Bar is located in the Telegraph district, right next to 402 Creamery…read more Naughty Buddha is a vegan restaurant, and my husband and I aren't vegan, but after walking by a handful of times we couldn't resist trying it on one of our rare date nights. We both LOVED it. My husband ordered the fire dragon wrap which came with a side of tsunami salad. The wrap was huge and FULL of flavor, the tortilla was grilled which was a nice touch. I ordered the naughty Buddha burger, which is a little spicy, and the bajan rice. I could eat that rice every day and not get sick of it, it's that good. I enjoyed my burger, but my husband and I both agreed that we preferred his wrap. Both of our meals were served with lollipops. Despite being a small restaurant there was plenty of seating, and the Telegraph district has a nice sized parking area so parking was easy too. The only downer is that my kids are pretty picky eaters, and there isn't much on this menu that would appeal to them (except on Saturdays when they serve vegan macaroni and cheese), so we will have to order our food to-go until we get another kid free night.
