Staff was friendly, establishment was clean, parking was plentiful, I got the (Cookie Monster?) it wasn't my favorite I'm not sure why I wasn't expecting peanut butter lol but it was still good! Me and my boyfriend came here after a dinner to walk around the area with some ice cream! I got the cookies and cream while he got the monster cookie flavor. Both were pretty good and I liked how the ice cream was on the softer side. It melted a little fast, but I guess that's the trade off! I like how they have monthly signature flavors too. They did run out of one of the signature flavors and there were a few toppings that they ran out of too. There's also a two sample limit which I think should change because there are like a bunch of new flavors every month! But the people working there were really nice! It wasn't too crowded when we stopped by, and there was lots of indoor/outdoor seating. I'll definitely have to make a visit to the other two locations sometime in the future. read more

I had this at a wedding as it was catered in, and wow is it great ice cream!! I can't recommend it enough. The Tiger Stripes was my favorite, and Oreo a close second. The 2 guys manning their station did a great job--very friendly and fast with the long line! I don't know how we haven't been here before. We've had friends tell us about this ice cream shop and we finally found our way in yesterday and it's was incredible! I had a split scoop on a waffle cone of a peanut brittle (I think, maybe almond brittle) and s'mores. For the s'mores they even drizzle on melted marshmallow and burn it with a small torch, it's a really fun extra a touch. My wife got the monster cookie and she said it was great. They have very generous portions and the staff were very kind! They was a group on seemingly blind people in front of us and the staff were so incredibly patient and helpful with the entire group! It has a great small town ice cream shop vibe and is in a perfect location! You're going to want to check this place out! Enthusiastic staff, delicious ice cream (though I recommend the basic flavors more than the special seasonal concoctions, but that's my own preference). My husband can never pass up cream!! Love small batch ice cream spots so excited to try this one. There was a line but it moved quickly. We were allowed to try the available flavor's and the staff was good to offer their advice. I ended up with the almond brittle and loved it. The 402 creamery in the telephone district in Lincoln Nebraska is a fine place to make a bad decision. If you care about ambience inside the ice cream shop this is not the place for you (you want Ivanna Cone), however if what you care about is tasty ice cream, and inventive flavors then this is likely Lincoln's best option. Additionally, if you're rolling in with a group of six to 16 people and don't mind sitting outside, then they have plenty of seating as well as parking for your large group to get together and eat cold sweetened fat. Personally, I like two flavors. I get a half scoop of each, 1) dark chocolate; and 2) blueberries and lemon cake. They offer a sliver of waffle cone with your dish of ice cream. The experience is largely unchanged with or without the added waffle cone triangle. The service is just fine, when I've gone the servers look to be mostly high school age women working a summer job. read more

Had sweet cream ice cream (not vanilla), sugar cookies, sprinkles, and another cookie mix and it was excellent. The taste of the sweet cream ice cream tasted just like sweet cream and the sugar cookie that was infused into it gave it almost a chewy consistency which reminded me of a fresh baked cookie. AC was on point on the warmest day in May we've had in many years. They are vegan and gluten friendly, and the price point is high compared to a dollar cone of soft serve at a drive thru. I think you have to remember the time and effort it takes to make the ice cream from scratch with quality ingredients, and that is why a small cup is ~$5. I believe they are in some of the local grocery stores in Lincoln but have not run into them in Omaha yet. Keep up the good work, guys! read more

This is EPIC ice cream. By far Lincoln's best ice cream. With seasonal flavors each month. They are located in downtown Lincoln Haymarket area. The staff is welcoming as you come in the door, and you can try all the different flavors. They have a regular set of flavors including monster cookie, chocolate milk and cookies, and a variety of other flavors including one or two gluten-free options. They also have seasonal flavors that are delicious. There is a small seating area, with plenty of room for you in a small group to settle down and eat some ice cream. You also can take away pints they have. If you love ice cream, this is a place you have to visit. Once you go, you'll find yourself going back over and over again. read more

It is conveniently located in the Haymarket with wonderful surrounding local restaurants, so it is the perfect walkable spot for that after meal dessert. So happy to visit a place with many vegan choices of ice cream. I was really hoping for the cherry pie sorbet I saw on the website but the worker informed me that they didn't have it because the owner is really bad at updating the website. My daughter had the vegan chocolate cubed and I had the peanut butter chocolate chip. Mine was a bit too rich to eat the whole thing. The Vegan Chocolate Cubed is excellent. I think some of the cones are vegan but the worker didn't seem very familiar with ingredients. We showed up when it wasn't busy (Thursday night) and were able to sit outside on the patio and enjoy our treat. Will be back to try new flavors... read more
